Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) return may blow up Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) romance. Kristen’s DOOL comeback has been confirmed, so it’s just a matter of when it’ll happen and what the sneaky DiMera’s plans will be.
Of course, Kristen’s going to need an ally once she resurfaces in Salem, but it’s not likely to be Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers). Lani cares about Kristen and may always consider her a friend, but she can’t support her behavior anymore.
If Kristen turns to Lani, she knows she’ll just get hauled right back to prison.
Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) proved useless the last time Kristen went to him for help, so she’s not likely to turn to him either.
Kristen expected Xander to kill Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) like he was ordered to do, but Days fans know they both lived to tell the tale.
Kristen’s best option is Ava for a variety of reasons. For starters, Ava’s done her fair share of terrible things, so she’s not as judgmental as Lani or characters like her.
Ava also happens to be smarter than Xander, so Kristen can trust her to get things done. There’s still some level of a friendship between Ava and Kristen as well, so that’s something to keep in mind as well.
Naturally, Ava might put up a fight because she’s on a better path now – and because she’s falling harder for Rafe every day.
Unfortunately, Days spoilers say that’s a weak spot Kristen can use to her advantage. If all else fails, Kristen can blackmail Ava over her last escape attempt. Ava lied repeatedly to Rafe’s face in the aftermath of helping Kristen make her getaway.
That may be what really seals the deal on Ava helping Kristen once again. Kristen may back Ava into a corner and insist that if Ava doesn’t cooperate, she’ll make sure Rafe finds out about his new love’s deception.
The problem is Ava will inevitably pile on more crimes, secrets and lies. Ava will dig a bigger hole for herself if she lets Kristen blackmail her, but that’s where the story seems to be headed.
