Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s some big casting news about Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton) to report – and it involves a major exit from the NBC soap. According to the new issue of SOD, Linsey Godfrey is OUT as Sarah Horton.
DOOL fans can expect Godfrey to officially finish her run on March 22, though there’ll still be one more appearance on March 29.
Of course, Days of Our Lives is known for sending characters off canvas and bringing them back later. There’s always a possibility that the character of Sarah simply needs a rest and will return at some point.
That’s especially true since Sarah’s exit will likely leave her love story with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) dangling.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sarah will fight for her freedom on March 22 – and that same day, Sarah will dump Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). That probably means that after Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) carries out her Sarah mask plot and reunites with Rex, “Sarah” will dump him just as fast.
It should be part of Kristen’s plan to make sure Xander’s brokenhearted and doesn’t go looking for Sarah.
It seems likely that Sarah will fail to escape – and then we’ll see her on the deserted island Kristen promised to send her to. That would line up with those March 22 and March 29 airdates, but we’ll just have to see how things play out.
Regardless, this appears to be a stopping point that leaves Xander and Sarah with unfinished business. With an ending like this, it’s reasonable to think Xander will save Sarah from the fate Kristen’s forced her into down the road.
In the meantime, Xander could move on or perhaps follow the clues that lead him to Sarah – much like Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) did when he pursued the truth to find Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal).
This ending should provide some flexibility that’ll lead to some new story possibilities no matter what.
