Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is quickly learning that the devil is back. However, the story will last until Christmas, so don’t expect an exorcism anytime soon. Plus, the devil “needs” Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) baby. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) dropped a clue on what to expect next.
Temporarily Fooling John Black
DOOL spoilers reveal that John has discovered that Marlena is probably possessed by the devil again. John is desperately trying to get others to see what he is seeing.
First, John tried to confront Marlena and ordered her to take off the sunglasses. However, “MarDevil” was able to fool John by appearing normal. John accepted that Marlena’s eyes weren’t glowing but the devil did mention that John could be a problem.
John shared his possession suspicions with Abe Carver (James Reynolds). Then, he tried to get Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) to listen to the therapy session recording of Marlena and Doug Williams (Bill Hayes).
DOOL Spoilers: Shapeshifting Comment
After John seemed temporarily satisfied with Marlena’s eyes, the devil dropped a major clue. “MarDevil” said that John might be a problem.
Then, the devil added that there is one thing that John doesn’t realize – that the devil can change its appearance.
This is different than possession. This indicates that John could be in another location while “MarDevil” suddenly appears to be John without taking over his body.
Kidnapping John Black
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that John will try to save Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).
Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) told John that he left Marlena and Julie together as they were going to pray for Doug and Abe at St. Luke’s Catholic Church.
John was alarmed and will head that way. It is confirmed that Marlena will torment John in the DiMera crypt, which suggests a kidnapping.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Changing Appearance
The devil’s number one objective in this storyline has very little to do with Marlena. It’s actually all about Ciara and Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) baby.
However, the baby won’t be born for several months. So, the devil needs to delay being found out. The last thing the devil wants is to be exorcised before accomplishing his mission.
With John hot on the devil’s trail, that means there will be a twist. It’s possible that the devil holds John hostage but nobody suspects anything due to the devil making himself appear as John from time to time.
If people see and talk to the person they think is John, then nobody will realize anything is wrong.
That will also give the story time to develop – at least, until the bombshell Christmas episode that will expose the devilish truth.
