Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, May 3, reveals that Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) rushed to Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) side following her fall at the DiMera mansion. Jack was thankful that Gwen still had a pulse and insisted they had to get her to the hospital.
Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) was relieved to know Gwen was still alive and assured Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that what happened was an accident. Once they all made it to the hospital, Chad grilled Abigail in the waiting area.
Abigail snapped that Chad shouldn’t look at her like she’s some horrible person – like she did something wrong.
Chad seemed irritated over Gwen’s ordeal and still wanted the details that led up to her fall. Meanwhile, Jack was with Gwen after she was in a hospital gown and set up in her own room.
Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry) came in and was confused about why Gwen had been admitted.
After Dr. Snyder sent Jack out so that he could examine Gwen, he pointed out Gwen’s father didn’t know about the miscarriage. Dr. Snyder offered to tell Jack since Gwen was clearly upset over the loss, but Gwen insisted she didn’t want the doc to inform Jack or anyone else.
Back in the waiting area on Monday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Jack joined Abigail and Chad before Dr. Snyder came out with updates. Dr. Snyder insisted Gwen was going to be OK, but he noted that Gwen had asked him not to give out any information regarding the baby.
Chad went in Gwen’s room to get some answers for himself and learned the baby was a girl before Gwen revealed that she’d lost her.
Gwen cried that their little girl was the best thing that ever happened to her, but now she’s dead. “And it’s all because of Abigail,” Gwen declared on Monday’s Days of Our Lives episode.
As Jack sat with Abigail, they bickered over Gwen’s motives for suggesting she should leave town. Abigail still thought Gwen was trying to get a reaction from Jack, who was quick to offer up a room at the Horton house for her.
Jack took a call from Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) and gave her the news about Gwen’s accident – as well as the fact that things didn’t look good for her pregnancy.
After Abigail joined Chad and Gwen, she learned that Gwen had lost the baby. Abigail said she was so sorry, but Gwen mocked her attempt to offer sympathy. Although Abigail insisted Gwen simply pulled back on the stairs and fell, Gwen disagreed.
Gwen argued that Abigail got exactly wanted after she pushed her down those stairs on purpose. “She killed our baby!” Gwen insisted.
At the Brady Pub, “Kate Roberts DiMera” aka Kristen DiMera in a mask (Lauren Koslow) rejected Roman’s attempt to get back together. “Kate” suggested she was flattered, but she’d moved on in life and felt like Roman should do the same.
Next, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) convinced Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) to have a working dinner with him at the pub. They arrived after Kate was gone, but Roman filled Gabi and Philip in on “Kate” dumping Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash).
Philip argued that “Kate” had just offered Jake up to Gabi on a silver platter, but she denied that she’d go crawling back to him.
As for Jake, he also told Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) that he wouldn’t be crawling back to Gabi following his breakup. Ben thought Jake had to figure out which woman he really wanted and convince her that she was the one for him.
Once Jake made it back to the DiMera mansion, he crossed paths with Gabi and accused her of doing something to turn “Kate” against him. Gabi denied causing the breakup and suggested that maybe “Kate” just realized what a big jerk Jake was.
Gabi argued that every interaction made her realize any woman would have to be crazy to want Jake, but Jake countered that Gabi would drag him upstairs so fast if he said he wanted her.
There was a bit of a spark as Jake grabbed Gabi’s arm, but she pushed him to unhand her and announced she was going upstairs alone. “And you can go straight to hell,” Gabi snapped. “Already there,” Jake said to himself.
At Ben’s place, he unleashed his rage over Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) amnesia. Ben had an angry meltdown as he smashed and threw things all over the room.
As Ben exited, DOOL fans could see Ben and Ciara’s broken wedding picture frame on the floor. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben and Ciara will reunite down the road, but Ben will have to keep suffering in the meantime.
Back at the pub on Monday’s Days episode, Roman told Philip that Kate wanted everyone to think she was a tough cookie – but that was just a mask. Roman insisted that sometimes it was like Kate was two entirely different people.
Kristen made her way back to captive Kate and tried to act like Jake was unbothered by the breakup. Kate remained an uncooperative hostage, so Kristen insisted she’d soon be back with something to change that and make Kate more relaxed for her trip – clearly meaning she planned to drug her.
At Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse on Monday’s Days episode, she explained the hypnosis recording situation to Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).
Sami was stunned to learn John Black (Drake Hogestyn) had become a witness in Belle Brady’s (Martha Madison) case, but Marlena insisted John didn’t actually see who was under the hood.
Sami was sorry for not being there for Marlena lately and wanted to be there for her now, so they shared a warm mother-daughter moment as they hugged.
