Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Monday, September 27, tease that possessed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will carry out a murder attempt on Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) cries in Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) arms. Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) will also have an opportunity to come to Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) rescue, so here’s what DOOL has in store.
At the hospital, the devil will plan to silence “tattletale” Doug for good! Mind-controlled Marlena will grab a pillow and move in close to smother Doug, but Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will interrupt in the nick of time.
Eli will wonder what’s going on, but Marlena will probably offer the usual excuse of making sure Doug was comfortable with an extra fluffed pillow. However, it seems the devil will at least manage to stop Doug from communicating any further.
There might be some spell that’s cast or some other way to rob Doug of his voice. Regardless, Eli won’t be able to figure out what Doug’s trying to tell him – and that’ll probably be the case for months since this is set to be a lengthy storyline.
In the meantime, Days spoilers say Johnny will turn to Tony for help. Now that Johnny wants to make Marlena’s possession the sole focus of his script, he may hope Tony can shed more light on what happened.
Johnny will push Tony to come through for him on reworking the screenplay – especially since Tony caved to EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feurriegel) threats and refused to invest in the film. Tony may worry EJ isn’t going to like him helping Johnny in any way, but he’ll probably agree to see what he can do.
As for Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), she’ll stun Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) when she reveals this horrible chapter of her family’s history. Allie will hope Johnny drops the idea of making a movie involving the possession – and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) will feel the same way when she tries to talk Johnny out of his plans.
Unfortunately, Johnny will hold firm on what he believes will be an amazing film. He’ll think everyone’s overreacting, but he doesn’t realize the devil’s already back inside Grandma Marlena! Johnny is playing with fire and could make matters worse since evil’s invading Salem all over again.
In New Orleans, Days spoilers say Ben and Ciara’s baby discussion will take an emotional turn. Ciara just asked if Ben’s concerns about his bad genes mean he never wants to have a baby with her. Ben isn’t saying that, but he does have serious fears that’ll take some work to move past.
Ciara will respond with compassion and will let Ben know they don’t have to do anything he’s not ready for. Ben will be so overwhelmed that he breaks down in tears, but Ciara will pull him close and whisper more reassurances. They’ll get passionate and go to sleep without really resolving any of this, so that’ll set the stage for Ben’s disturbing dream about their potential baby.
