Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, September 6 Recap – Ben Postpones Baby – Bonnie Held at Gunpoint – EJ Explodes

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, September 6, reveals that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) suggested a baby postponement while EJ DIMera (Dan Feurriegel) exploded over the missing money. Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) was also held at gunpoint, so here’s how it all went down on Monday’s DOOL episode.

At the Horton house, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) pushed Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) to tell him what Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) was holding over her head.

Gwen said she never meant to hurt Jack and was about to tell him the truth when a phone call interrupted.

It was Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who was locked in the freezer of Julie’s Place and needed Jack’s help.

Jack rushed off in a hurry, so Gwen looked bewildered and suggested they’d just talk whenever.

Once Jack made it to Julie’s Place and let Julie out of the freezer off screen, she explained that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) was the one who locked her in.

Julie initially thought the doorstopper just slipped out, but then Doug looked in the little window at her and walked away.

Jack wondered if maybe Doug was just playing a prank, but Julie argued that the Doug she knew would never lock her away like that. Now Julie had no idea where Doug was and feared something was truly wrong.

Julie didn’t get an answer when she tried to call Doug repeatedly, so that added to her fears about what might’ve happened to him.

In Xander Cook Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) hotel suite, he emerged from the bathroom with shaving cream covering half his face and opened the door.

EJ waltzed in and handed over the contract Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) signed, but Xander wanted to examine it and make sure everything was legit before he gave up the money.

Xander told EJ to sit tight since this could take a while, so Bonnie looked frustrated as she hid under the bed.

Meanwhile, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) called Bonnie since Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) was worried about her going MIA this close to the wedding.

Bonnie’s phone buzzed, so EJ asked if Xander heard that – but they eventually decided it must’ve been in another room.

EJ wanted to make sure all the money was in the briefcase, but he got a call regarding a time-sensitive business deal.

Although EJ had to leave without checking, he warned Xander that he’d be back for his “pound of flesh” if even a penny was missing.

After EJ left, Xander went back in the bathroom and gave Bonnie a chance to slip out undetected. Bonnie also texted Kayla at one point to lie about getting hung up at the manicurist.

Kayla assured Justin there was nothing to worry about, though she did mention Bonnie acted a bit off because of Calista Lockhart (Cady Huffman) last night.

Justin wondered if he should ask Bonnie about that before the wedding, but Kayla thought all that really mattered was that Bonnie was completely in love.

The feeling was mutual according to Justin, who was happy to hear that Kayla believed Bonnie was truly a good person now.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) met Calista and started fishing for details about her background and connection to Bonnie.

Calista thought Steve had an awful lot of questions, but she seemed flattered that he was so interested.

After Calista asked how Steve lost his eye, she was impressed to learn it happened in a knife fight.

Calista moved in close and thought she was getting a vibe, but Steve said he was happily married to the matron of honor. “I won’t tell if you won’t,” Calista insisted as she got on top of Steve awkwardly.

When Bonnie appeared, she took in the scene on the sofa and demanded to know what was going on in there! Calista got off Steve and suggested they were just getting better acquainted.

Steve explained how Justin had taken Bonnie’s make-up bag to Kayla, but Bonnie decided she’d just get ready there at the mansion and said Calista could help her.

Once Bonnie was alone with Calista, she handed over the money she stole from Xander and ranted about nearly getting caught.

Bonnie insisted she was “two seconds away from being thrown in the pokey” on her wedding day and argued that she wasn’t a crook anymore. Bonnie just hoped Justin would never find out about any of this.

Calista was about to leave with the cash, but Bonnie wanted the incriminating gun first.

After Calista pulled out the murder weapon, she pointed it at Bonnie. “Sorry, Bon-Bon. You’re not getting the gun; you’re getting the bullet,” Calista said on Monday’s Days episode.

Back in Xander’s hotel suite, he got a visit from Gwen. She explained that she couldn’t let Jack keeping all those horrible things about Xander, so she confessed – though she didn’t have time to tell the whole story.

Gwen admitted Julie got locked in a freezer, so Jack left to deal with that and didn’t stick around to hear the rest of her confession.

Since Gwen hadn’t told Jack about the true timing of her miscarriage yet, she worried he’d never be able to look at her the same way once she did. Gwen hated the idea of Jack being so disappointed in her.

Suddenly, EJ started banging on the door and shouted at Xander the “thief” to open up. Once Xander opened the door, EJ asked who Gwen was and then decided it didn’t matter.

EJ came back because the briefcase was empty, so he assumed Xander was trying to pull some sort of scam.

After Xander assured EJ that wasn’t the case, EJ guessed someone must’ve stolen it. All EJ cared about was the fact that the money was missing.

EJ told Xander that he’d get the ball rolling on sending him to prison and angrily ripped up the Titan contract right in front of him.

Once EJ stormed out, Gwen asked if Xander really did scam him. Xander said he didn’t and eventually thought back to Bonnie’s weird visit earlier.

The wheels started turning for Xander, who clearly realized Bonnie was the one who stole the $1 million.

Back with Justin, he talked about Bonnie turning over a new leaf and was grateful for Kayla as well as Steve’s support. Justin also mentioned how it’d be awkward if he had to invoke spousal privilege or serve as Bonnie’s attorney.

Kayla thought everything turned out how it was supposed to and felt like maybe Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) was smiling down on all of them.

Next on Monday’s Days episode, Steve called Kayla to fill her in on Bonnie deciding to get ready with Calista at the Kiriakis mansion. He admitted to meeting Calista and not getting a great vibe from her.

In the woods, Ben was completely caught off guard by Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) suggestion of having a baby.

Ben didn’t see the rush to have a kid and pointed out that it costs a lot of money to raise one.

Ciara argued that they didn’t have to be rich and thought they could manage, but Ben kept shooting down all her ideas about how to pull it off.

That left Ciara worried that maybe Ben just didn’t want to have a baby with her.

However, Ben argued that they’d missed out on a year together. He liked the honeymoon phase they were finally in and suggested he just wanted to have Ciara to himself for a while.

Ciara wondered if Ben was saying he didn’t want to have the baby conversation at all, but Ben just wanted to postpone it.

Although Ciara agreed to that, she seemed bummed as Ben nuzzled her close.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say there’s more to Ben’s baby reservations, so Ciara will have to pry the whole truth out of him eventually!
