Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the next two weeks, December 20 to December 31, tease that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will return for Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) while jealous Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) loses control. It’ll be New Year’s Eve in Salem soon as well, so there’ll be some exciting things happening on DOOL.
During the week of December 20-24, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will ponder that erased pub security footage and assume Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) has been framed.
While Belle updates Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) on her suspicions, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will instruct a newly awakened Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) on how to stir up some “Shelle” drama.
Since Shawn and Belle’s anniversary is just around the corner, Jan will take on Belle’s appearance and prance around in some lingerie.
The devil’s sneaky powers will create an illusion that puts Jan in Shawn’s bed while looking like Belle. Naturally, chaos is going to break out once the real Belle spots them together!
Jan and Marlena’s team effort will ultimately be exposed, but Days spoilers say they’ll have a ton of fun in the meantime.
As for Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), she’ll try to make Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) reverse her decision to have Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) declared legally dead.
Chloe will want to get the murder charges dropped for Brady, but it seems she’ll be out of luck for now.
Kate will have more important things to worry about – like keeping Philip’s frame job a secret from Chloe, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and everyone else.
It does look like Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will discover the truth inadvertently, so Philip will just have to trust his brother to hide the secret.
Next, Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will be over the moon after EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) decides to take her back.
They’ll reunite just in time to tackle the crisis of Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) returning from Italy as a married man.
Johnny will gush over Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and how happy he is to have her as his wife.
They apparently had an unbelievably romantic trip since it resulted in their quick union. Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) won’t be any happier about this than EJ and Sami, so plenty of hostility will go down.
On the bright side, Chanel’s return could help Paulina start winning Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) over. Lani will lash out over Paulina’s Christmas greeting, but Chanel will make sure the three of them sit down to talk later.
Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) has been staying in Boston for quite some time, but she’ll make it back for Christmas in Salem.
Possessed Marlena will derail things at the Horton house eventually, so expect pregnant Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) to face some terror.
As Marlena grips blazing torches, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will stand up to the devil along with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Doug Williams (Bill Hayes).
However, it’ll be John Black (Drake Hogestyn) who perhaps has the best shot at gaining the upper hand.
The problem is possessed Marlena is more powerful than mere mortals. John will need someone to come help with a true exorcism – and as luck would have it, Eric will show back up in town wearing his old priest garb.
The week of December 27-31 will allow Eric to catch up with some of his loved ones.
Eric will also get the scoop on Marlena’s horrible ordeal and do whatever he can to help free his mom of the devil within. Since Eric has returned to the priesthood, he’ll be in the prime position to offer assistance.
Other Days spoilers say Allie will get updates on Johnny and Chanel’s surprise marriage. She’ll have plenty of issues with it, but most of them should stem from jealousy.
Allie will blow up at Johnny and no doubt question why Chanel would take such a huge step with him. This will all be happening way too fast as far as Allie’s concerned.
Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams), on the other hand, will probably be glad to see Chanel and Johnny’s romance has progressed. Deep down, Tripp must still have some insecurities since Allie previously kissed Chanel and had feelings for her.
Once Allie completely loses it over Johnny and Chanel’s new marriage, it could spark a fight with Tripp. He may think Allie should be happy for her brother and bestie, but she’ll definitely struggle to be anything except furious.
Following Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) run-in with possessed Marlena, she’ll make a speedy recovery and let Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) dote on her. There’ll be some romantic moments for Steve and Kayla as they celebrate their love.
Back with Jennifer, she’ll have something important to discuss with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) – namely Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and how long he can really shut her out. Jennifer may sense that Jack wants to forgive Gwen, but he’ll be wary since he already did that and got burned with more lies.
Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will be eager to nail down some answers about Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and where she’s really been. Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) may compare notes with Xander while Gwen battles anxiety about the island truth coming out.
New Year’s Eve will eventually arrive in Salem, which means there should be some midnight kisses and great celebrations. As other Days news emerges, we’ll deliver more updates.
