Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) may fake his own death to frame Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Will Philip plant his artificial leg in the river as part of his twisted scheme? The show’s winter preview could point in that direction, so let’s discuss what’s coming up.
DOOL viewers know Philip has really gone off the rails due to his jealousy and anger.
Some of that’s perfectly reasonable since Brady has such a strong bond with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), who expects Philip to accept far too much.
For example, it was outrageous for Chloe to be sharing a hotel room bed with her ex-husband, but she just expected Philip to trust her like it was nothing. Trust or no trust, that was inappropriate!
However, most Days fans aren’t giving Philip a pass since he’s been way too possessive.
Philip is extremely controlling and paranoid, so that’s led to his latest problem of jumping to the wrong conclusion and assuming the worst.
Now that Philip mistakenly thinks Chloe and Brady hooked up at Basic Black, he’s furious and eager to expose their steamy time together.
Philip will use sneaky tactics to try and get Chloe to admit her cheating, but she won’t admit to something she didn’t do.
If Philip ultimately can’t take it anymore and confronts Chloe, she might consider it the last straw and dump him over his wrong accusation.
Days spoilers say Brady will also face a brutal attack soon, so Philip may be blamed whether he’s responsible or not. That could give Chloe another reason to officially break things off.
Philip has lost his job at Titan, so he’d have nothing left to lose in that case – and people with nothing left to lose are more likely to fake their deaths.
It’s easy to imagine Philip deciding there’s nothing left for him in Salem anyway.
Philip might want to tear Chloe and Brady apart – leaving Chloe heartbroken and Brady in prison. By faking his demise, Philip might feel like he’d be getting the last laugh.
Of course, it’s also possible Philip will get caught up in more mob mayhem or some other threat that lands him in deadly trouble. Philip might even fake his death to get away from someone else and just set Brady up as a bonus.
DOOL writers forgot about Philip’s artificial leg for a while, but it’s apparently back and will be discovered in the river.
Between that and some other evidence that points to Brady, he’ll be arrested for killing Philip.
