Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 8, reveals that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) owned up to all her mistakes and assured Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) that she was truly sorry. Abigail thought talk was cheap and wondered why she should take the word of a pathological liar.
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) gently scolded Abigail and tried to get her to apologize as well, but Abigail kept placing all the blame on Gwen.
However, Jack kept pushing until Abigail admitted she was at fault for the fight at the cemetery and that she took things too far with the kidnapping plot in the DiMera tunnels.
Jack pushed Abigail to shake on the truce, but Abigail wanted one thing from Gwen first. She told Gwen to look her in the eye and swear on her life that what happened to Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer) was an accident. Gwen suddenly looked ill and threw up all over Abigail’s legs.
Abigail was disgusted and asked “where the hell” Gwen learned to puke on demand. She thought it was a way to avoid giving her a straight answer about Laura, but Jack argued that Gwen obviously didn’t feel well. Abigail said she didn’t feel either and stormed out.
Once Gwen was alone with Jack, she promised it wasn’t a stunt. Jack knew it wasn’t deliberate and believed Gwen was just genuinely sick. He dashed off to get some ginger ale to settle Gwen’s stomach as she sat there groaning on the sofa.
Jack brought the ginger ale eventually and wondered if maybe Gwen ate something that upset her stomach. “Maybe I’m pregnant,” Gwen admitted on Thursday’s DOOL episode.
After Abigail returned to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), she explained what happened with Gwen and called it a stall tactic. Abigail suggested that Gwen either made herself vomit or actually got sick over the idea of telling the truth.
Either way, Abigail felt Gwen puked on her intentionally instead of turning away or running to the bathroom. She made it clear that the truce wasn’t happening – not now, not ever.
At Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) place, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) found her big brother mulling over evidence in the Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) case.
Now that Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) had been cleared, Gabi insisted she was going to solve this case for Rafe. She mentioned how she saw Ava sneaking out the night Charlie was murdered.
Meanwhile, Ava wanted Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) assurance that she’d keep her mouth shut about Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams). She also wanted Nicole to get Rafe to drop the case, but Nicole argued with her since Tripp might be guilty.
Ava threatened to give Rafe a bogus confession to protect Tripp if Nicole refused to back her up.
After Ava came home on Thursday’s Days episode, Rafe confronted her about sneaking out the night Charlie died. He pushed Ava not to lie to him again, so she told the story of finding Charlie near death after he was shot.
Ava promised she wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger and talked about exchanging love declarations with Charlie before he faded away.
Rafe took Ava’s hand and knew it must’ve been hard for Ava to keep this bottled up. Ava got emotional about never giving Charlie the love and attention he needed. She felt she turned Charlie into a monster and thought she at least should’ve faked it.
Ava wondered what kind of mother never told her son she loved him until he was about to die. Rafe thought Ava gave Charlie comfort in the end. It occurred to Rafe that Ava knew Charlie was already dead when he got the news about the gunshot.
Ava admitted that was true, but Rafe got the feeling that she was still holding something back.
At the pub on Thursday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) finished up dinner with Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) and Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson).
Philip kept asking questions about Charlie’s death and made Allie uncomfortable, so she quickly excused herself.
Once Allie made it back to Nicole’s place, she filled Nicole in on the uncomfortable dinner. Allie admitted she thought she might know who killed Charlie. She explained that Tripp told her about visiting Charlie’s apartment the night of the murder.
Allie refused to tell the cops since she had already wrongfully accused Tripp of a crime once. Nicole insisted it was possible that Tripp was the killer, but possible wasn’t good enough for Allie. When Allie said she didn’t have all the facts, Nicole insisted that Allie should go to Tripp and get them.
Allie wasn’t interested because then she might have to tell Rafe and ruin Tripp’s life. Nicole countered that things would go a lot better for Tripp if he came clean.
Back at the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Gabi sat down at Kate and Philip’s table uninvited. She felt she didn’t need an invitation since this was about business.
Gabi told Philip they had to find a new location for their flagship store since a “conniving snake” stole their other one. She gave Kate a dirt look and guessed all was fair in love and war.
Kate insisted this had nothing to do with love, but Gabi purred that maybe it could and cozied up to Philip. Kate thought Philip was smart enough to not be used by Gabi.
However, Gabi replied that she didn’t say anything about using Philip – and even if she did use Philip, Gabi didn’t think he seemed to mind.
Philip agreed that being used to be a turn on and kissed Gabi before Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) entered. “What the hell is going on here?” Jake asked. He eventually gave Kate some unfortunate updates about the lease, which they didn’t get after all.
Kate realized this was because of Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and grumbled about that “damn woman,” so Gabi seemed pleased. She hinted that Kate was the sore loser now and agreed to let Philip accompany her back to the mansion. Gabi thought they could see where the night took them.
