Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, December 16, teases that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) will tackle a riverbank mission for Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), which will lead to a new Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) puzzle piece. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will also panic over some surfacing secrets, so there’ll be a lot going on in Thursday’s exciting Days episode.
Chloe knows Brady is a good man at his core, but there’s so much proof stacked against him. That’s left Chloe rather torn at this point, but she’ll try to renew her faith in Brady.
Chloe will feel like the solution here is for Brady to remember what happened the night Philip vanished.
Brady will still have some missing memory gaps, but he’ll think maybe it’ll all come flooding back if he visits the riverbank.
Chloe was previously against the idea of Brady returning to the scene of the crime, but she’ll be more open to it on Thursday’s DOOL show.
Police presence will have died down by then, so Chloe will take Brady to the riverbank and do what she can to help him recall that fateful night. As Brady walks through this in his mind, something critical will click into place.
Days spoilers say Brady will determine that he was the victim, not the attacker. There’ll be some flash of a combative Philip that tips Brady off to at least part of the truth.
This should be the first step toward helping Brady realize he’s been framed, but he’ll only have his word as evidence – and that’s not worth much since his blood alcohol level was three times over the legal limit.
Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) will argue with DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), who’ll think they’ve got more than enough evidence to charge Brady with murder.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) slipped through Trask’s fingers when she escaped, but the DA will still want someone to pay for the death of Haley Chen (Thia Megia).
Haley’s demise was the result of an accident caused by Kristen, but Trask will feel like Brady should go down by association. She’ll be eager to see Brady behind bars, so she’ll finally force Eli to make an arrest in Philip’s homicide case.
While Brady’s down by the riverbank with Chloe, he’ll be read his rights and dragged away in handcuffs. Chloe will be horrified by the scene playing out in front of her, but she’ll become increasingly convinced there has to be more to the story.
Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) will get some comfort from Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) while Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) receives support from Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) as well as Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder).
There’ll be some somber moments as Kate and Victor are forced to make a decision they don’t want to make. Victor and Kate may give the green light for Philip to be declared dead – paving the way for Brady to face murder charges.
Kate may start thinking about Philip’s funeral and struggle under the weight of her emotions. The good news is Philip’s alive and will surprise his mother before the week concludes. The bad news is Philip set Brady up and could be in a world of legal trouble once that fact comes out.
Next, Gwen will continue to fret over what she’s hiding from Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). Gwen knows Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is living on a remote island, but she doesn’t want to bring Xander in the loop since she could lose him.
Xander would certainly want to reunite with Sarah and would be furious with Gwen for trying to keep this shocker under wraps. There’ll be a lot at stake for Gwen, so she’ll freak when she sees Rex in the town square.
Gwen will frantically attempt to distract Xander and stop the encounter that’s brewing, but fate will cause Rex and Xander to collide anyway. That’ll set the stage for Rex’s admission about Sarah dumping him before they ever left Salem.
Rex never got his fresh start with Sarah out of town and has been off saving the world. He won’t have a clue where Sarah is or what she’s been doing all these months, so Xander’s obviously going to be pretty alarmed.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander will have a new Sarah mystery on his hands soon enough!
