Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 28, reveal that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) found Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) at the nurses’ station at the hospital.
Allie suggested that they postpone their session for today since Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) had been shot, but Marlena insisted that they go ahead with their session.
Allie felt ambivalent about remembering her assault, but Marlena said that she needed clarity. Allie worried that she might remember doing something wrong, and Marlena insisted that none of this was Allie’s fault – rather, someone committed a crime against her. Allie said that she wanted to know who hurt her.
Allie and Marlena went into Marlena’s office, where Marlena began the hypnosis session. Allie recalled being at the nightclub and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) asking her to dance.
Allie said that she turned Tripp down, but that he approached her again about an hour later. Since Allie was unsteady on her feet, Tripp offered to take her home.
Allie then flashed back to entering her apartment with Tripp and kissing him and wanting to dance. Allie said that she didn’t remember more, but after a little encouragement from Marlena, Allie continued her flashback and remembered taking off her dress while Tripp didn’t look.
Allie said that Tripp had been kind and caring, and a perfect gentleman.
Marlena asked what happened next, and Allie said that after a while something woke her up – someone was there. Allie flashed back to being in her bed and Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) being in her room crumpling up a piece of paper. Allie figured it must have been the note that Tripp said he left that night.
In the flashback, Allie recognized Charlie from the club. “Why did you leave with him and not me?” Charlie asked Allie. Allie said she was calling the police, but then Charlie grabbed her arms and the flashback ended. Allie told Marlena that Charlie raped her, and that she tried to fight back but he was too strong.
Allie said that once Charlie left, she stared into the black and told herself that it was all a nightmare. Marlena then stopped the session and brought Allie out of hypnosis. Marlena hugged Allie, who cried in her grandmother’s arms. Marlena told Allie that she was safe and comforted her.
Meanwhile, at the Horton house, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) talked about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). Abigail wanted Chad to go to the police and tell them that Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) admitted that Gwen drugged her.
Chad thought that it wouldn’t make much difference, since Rolf had zero credibility, but he agreed to do it.
Chad relayed to Abigail that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) was back in town, and he vowed that he’d never stop fighting for Abigail and their family. Across town at Julie’s Place, Gwen approached Charlie, saying that she saw him in The Intruder and that he clearly had “mommy issues.”
Charlie said that he read Gwen’s tell-all, and that she had “daddy issues.”
Charlie and Gwen bonded over each having been abandoned as children, and Charlie alluded to having done horrible things. Gwen wondered how bad Charlie had been, and all Charlie would say is that he did something he wished he could take back.
Gwen said that her conscience was clear, and she left, refusing to have dinner with Charlie.
Gwen walked through town square, where she ran into Abigail. Gwen taunted Abigail about how neither Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) or Chad would ever forget her now, and Abigail attacked, saying that Gwen drugged her.
Gwen laughed, saying that no one would believe Rolf’s story. Abigail promptly punched Gwen, just as Chad rushed up and asked what was going on.
At Charlie’s apartment, Charlie was looking at photos of Claire and Allie on his tablet when Tripp came by and shoved an envelope at Charlie. Charlie asked what this was, and Tripp said that it was proof that Charlie raped Allie.
At Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment, Ben was eating Chinese food when Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) dropped by to apologize. Claire said she was sorry for being rude when Ben caught her with Charlie. Claire thought she was stupid to trust Charlie, but Ben didn’t think so.
Ben offered to let Claire take some food home, and he admitted to ordering all the same foods he and Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) loved. Ben and Claire talked about Ciara and how much they missed her.
Ben said that Marlena suggested that he talk with Claire about Ciara to help him grieve, and Claire liked that idea.
Claire and Ben decided that they were friends and that they could help each other deal with their grief over losing Ciara. Claire wondered if Ben was going to open his fortune cookie, and he said no because that was a thing that he and Ciara shared.
Ben noted that a part of him still believed that Ciara would come back to him.
Somewhere, Ciara yelled and pounded on the plexiglass of her locked room. “Let me out of here – hello!” Ciara screamed.
