Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, January 7 Recap - Twins Taken From Nursery - Ben Saves Claire - Rafe Busts Charlie

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 7, reveal that Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) happily talked about taking the twins home in Lani’s hospital room. Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams) entered and learned the babies’ names, and she was horrified to hear that Eli and Lani named their little girl after Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).

Valerie got over it pretty quickly, and she gave Lani and Eli a present, then headed off to the Brady Pub to get some frozen meals for the new parents. Lani and Eli were happy that the twins were finally coming home, and they went to the nursery to see what the holdup was in getting the twins signed out.

Over at Charlie Dale’s (Mike C. Manning) apartment, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) came to as Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was trying to help her. Ava was still hallucinating and yelled that Charlie was trying to kill her and that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) was dead. Ava was very agitated, and Rafe explained that he was a cop and was there to help.

At the Brady house, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) arrived in the den wondering where Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) was. Ben wanted to know why Charlie was a threat to Claire, but Marlena said that she didn’t want to confide in him until John Black (Drake Hogestyn) returned with information.

Marlena then saw Claire’s phone on the couch, and she headed to the basement to see if Claire was there, while Ben checked the rest of the house. Upstairs in Claire’s bedroom, she and Charlie kissed, and Claire changed into slinky lingerie. Charlie told Claire that she was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen.

At the Brady Pub, Valerie ran into Abe Carver (James Reynolds) who was also getting frozen meals for Lani and Eli. After some small talk, Valerie stepped away to take a call and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) entered and lamented to Abe about Tripp and what he did to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).

Back at the hospital, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) entered Ava’s room. Ava was still hallucinating and affected by the drugs. Ava scoffed at Kayla and claimed that Tripp was dead, and that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was burying him now. Ava was inconsolable, and Kayla ultimately left.

In Lani’s room, Eli gave Lani a special present – a gold heart locked with a photo of the twins inside and their birthdate engraved on it. Lani loved it, and Eli vowed to keep Lani and the twins safe and loved. Eli and Lani decided again to head to the nursery and see what the holdup was on getting the twins signed out.

At the nurses’ station, Kayla talked with Rafe about how Steve and John think that someone else could have raped Allie. Rafe shared that he found Ava tied up in the apartment of Charlie Dale, and Kayla said that she’d never heard of him. Rafe said that Charlie was dating Claire, and Kayla relayed that Ava had been likely drugged.

Kayla then returned to Ava’s room and tried to draw Ava’s blood, but Ava remained agitated and wouldn’t let her get close. Ava again said that Tripp was dead, and Kayla said that she called Tripp to come to the hospital. “Liar!!!” Ava screamed at Kayla.

“My son already tried to kill me today!” Ava screamed. Kayla said that Tripp wouldn’t do that, and Ava said that she was talking about her other son…Charlie. Kayla reeled.

Over in the nursery, someone lurked near the twins’ cribs. The person then reached inside Julia Grant’s crib and picked up the little girl.

Back at the Brady house, Charlie and Claire were in bed kissing when Ben burst in the room. “Get the hell away from her!” Ben bellowed. Claire was mortified and Charlie was stunned as Ben said that he needed to talk to Claire alone. Claire said that she didn’t want to talk with Ben and that she wasn’t going anywhere.

“Dr. Evans is downstairs,” Ben said, urging Claire to go talk with her right now. Claire said she’d go get rid of Marlena, and Ben said that he’d stay there with “Chuckie.” Claire left and Ben refused to let Charlie leave the room. “Who are you to tell me what to do,” Charlie fumed.

Ben said that he and Claire used to be close and were apartment mates at one time. Charlie insisted that he needed to go downstairs and see what was going on, but Ben said that Dr. Evans didn’t want that. Ben said that Charlie could go, and that he’d walk Charlie out the back way.

Downstairs, Claire talked with Marlena. Marlena fumed that they’d all been trying to call Claire. Claire said that she was with Charlie upstairs. Claire insisted to know what was going on, and Marlena said that Claire needed to come home with her, and that John would explain everything there.

Claire refused to go, saying that Charlie was waiting for her upstairs. “I don’t think you should be around Charlie anymore,” Marlena said. Claire asked why, and Marlena sat Claire down and said that John and Steve were doing some investigating into what happened to Allie.

Marlena went on, saying that John and Steve weren’t sure that Tripp was guilty. “But his DNA matches the baby, so it has to be him,” Claire said. “Not necessarily,” Marlena said. “It could be a relative who would share the same DNA.” Claire wanted to know what that had to do with Charlie.

“Have I ever lied to you?” Marlena asked Claire. Claire said no, and Marlena said that Claire needed to believe in her now and come to the penthouse with her. Claire finally agreed, and Ben walked in, saying that Charlie left out the back door. Claire looked really confused, and she went to change clothes.

Back at Charlie’s apartment, Charlie returned to find Ava gone. Charlie started to panic, and he ranted that nobody would ever believe Ava and that nobody could know what he did. Charlie told himself that all he had to do was to convince Claire not to believe a word that Ava says.

“I have to fix this. I can’t lose Claire,” Charlie said to himself. Charlie picked up his jacket and went to leave, but when he flung open the door, Rafe was standing there. Rafe and Charlie stood face to face.
