Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Thursday, September 2, tease that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will accept a new mission while Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) decides she wants to save Carrie Brady-Reed’s marriage. Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will also face a Miami surprise that prompts a change of plans, so some bombshells are brewing.
First, we should point out that Thursday’s DOOL episode is a recently inserted one. Days decided to add it and explain a few details on the main show ahead of the first Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem installment.
That limited series will be available on Peacock during the week of September 6-10, so be sure to check it out!
Of course, Thursday’s episode will serve as a great way to prepare, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
Days spoilers say John will get an unexpected phone call from Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), who’ll want to discuss an old jewelry heist and recruit John to help with a current problem.
There’s a special piece called The Alamainian Peacock, which was stolen in 1991. The missing gems from that piece have fallen into the wrong hands, so John’s assignment will tie in with the theft – and it could be quite dangerous.
However, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has never been one to shy away from danger and will be right by John’s side as they head to Zurich.
That’s where John and Marlena’s part of Beyond Salem will take place – and Anna will soon be headed there as well.
Days spoilers say Anna will grow concerned when she gets updates on Carrie’s crumbling marriage to Austin Reed (Austin Peck). Austin and Carrie have had some issues in the past, but they’ve always managed to work through them.
Anna will feel certain Austin and Carrie can do it again with a little nudge in the right direction.
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) will find out about Anna’s concerns as she pushes for his assistance. She’ll want to team up on fixing Carrie’s relationship, but Roman may think Anna should just butt out.
Regardless, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) will be willing to help Anna as they pack their bags and head for Zurich, where Carrie and Austin live. Over with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), he’ll also make plans for an urgent trip.
A run-in with Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will somehow lead to Chad jetting off to Phoenix.
Naturally, that’ll set up Chad’s visit with Sonny Kiriakis (Zachary Atticus Tinker) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey). Chad’s trip will get pretty wild, but he should enjoy catching up with some old friends,
In the meantime, Paulina will host a relaxing breakfast in her apartment. She’ll enjoy hanging out with Abe Carver (James Reynolds), Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers), but this ordinary morning is about to take a shocking turn.
Fortunately, the surprise should be a pleasant one and will spark Paulina’s idea for a vacation.
Although Paulina may have some business to take care of, she’ll apparently invite Abe, Lani and Eli so they can have some fun in the sun. The four of them will indeed head to Miami soon enough.
Once you see Thursday’s episode, you’ll have a better grasp of what’s happening on the Beyond Salem miniseries – and it’ll definitely be worth a watch!
