Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, August 10 Recap – Ava’s Mob Confession - EJ’s Murder Temptation, Lucas Invites Stabbing

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 10, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) faced murder temptation as Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) invited his rival to stab him. Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) also made a mob confession, so here’s how things played out on Tuesday’s Days episode.

At Titan, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) was surprised to see Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) sitting at his desk. When Philip asked what Gabi was doing in his office, Gabi made up an excuse about her laptop not working and the monthly reports being due.

Philip was distracted by the earlier situation with Lucas and alluded to how sometimes you have to play dirty to get what you want. Gabi secretly pocketed a flash drive before reflecting on how she once dragged Philip to bed – only to back out in the end.

Gabi was grateful that Philip was understanding about that. Philip assured Gabi that although romance might not be in the cards for them, he thought they had a terrific working relationship. He didn’t want anything to get in the way of that, and Gabi suggested she didn’t want anything to get in the way either.

Philip felt like everything worked out like it was supposed to and was all ears when Gabi suggested an idea to make Titan even more successful. Gabi pushed Philip to hire Jake who was knowledgeable about DiMera Enterprises and highly motivated to destroy it.

Philip seemed suspicious about Gabi’s ulterior motives, but she denied having them and suggested she’d never push for this if she didn’t think Jake would be a true asset. Philip decided he was willing to consider the idea of hiring Jake.

At Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) place, Ava found Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) apartment hunting on his tablet. Jake really wished he could have his old place back, but he mentioned that he was subletting it to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

Ava thought it might be available sooner than Jake thought since Ben was wanted for kidnapping Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) on her wedding day. She was surprised when Jake indicated he was rooting for Ben, but Jake explained the amnesia situation and was pleased to see Ben fighting for the woman he loved.

Talk turned to when Jake worked for the Vitali crime family back in Philly. Jake’s former boss was Angelo Vitali, but a couple years ago someone took over for him.

Jake wondered if that was Ava, so she admitted it was – though she was now out of the mob and refused to do anything to jeopardize her relationship with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).

After Jake asked what Ava was doing for work now, she said she was thinking about asking Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) for a job at Basic Black. Ava called Nicole and realized she wasn’t at the office, so she decided to pay Nicole a visit at home.

Next, Gabi came home and was hopeful about Philip offering Jake a job soon. Gabi insisted that they would get rid of Philip, take over Titan and then take over the world!

At Nicole’s apartment, Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) wound up physically attacking Nicole before Rafe intervened. Rafe dropped a hint about people in glass houses, so Sami realized Nicole had filled him in on Sami’s cheating.

When Sami demanded to know where Nicole got the letter, Rafe informed her that Nicole got it from Philip.

That confused Sami, who learned Lucas had been there trying to stop Nicole from exposing Sami’s betrayal. Sami eventually told Nicole this wasn’t over and sauntered out the door – leaving Nicole to lean on Rafe for comfort over the end of her marriage.

Nicole felt she was all alone, but Rafe insisted that wasn’t the case. He pointed out Nicole had Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) and Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander).

Rafe added that Nicole had him too and promised he wasn’t going anywhere.

Nicole didn’t know what she’d do without Rafe and was in his arms when Ava entered the apartment. Ava saw Rafe looking cozy with Nicole on the couch and didn’t look happy about it!

At the DiMera mansion, Lucas tried to convince EJ that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) lied, but EJ insisted he knew the whole truth. That led to a fight where EJ and Lucas played the blame game over the cheating fiasco.

Lucas said he feared EJ would kill Sami and rushed over there, but EJ argued that he wouldn’t harm a hair on Sami’s head. However, EJ suggested Lucas was a different story and picked up a letter opener. He thought it’d be poetic justice if he stabbed Lucas with it, so Lucas pushed EJ to go ahead and kill him then.

Sami freaked when she walked in, but Lucas didn’t think EJ had the stones to actually murder him. EJ shrugged that Lucas wasn’t worth it and put the letter opener down.

After EJ admitted he was having Harold pack up Sami’s things, he refused to listen to her attempt to explain her actions. EJ wanted Sami out of the house and out of his life. He never wanted to see Sami again.

Once EJ left the room, Lucas suggested EJ could’ve killed him if Sami hadn’t arrived when she did. A furious Sami argued that maybe she should’ve let EJ do it!

At the cabin on Tuesday’s Days episode, Ciara argued that she only came back to use Ben’s phone to call an ambulance for him. The service was bad, so Ciara couldn’t get a call out.

Ben didn’t think Ciara was just going to leave him there, so Ciara suggested she’d wrap Ben’s ankle and then return to Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson).

Ben felt like Ciara must’ve known to wrap his ankle because he set her broken leg there at the cabin, but Ciara insisted she used to be a candy striper – and besides, everyone knows compression alleviates pain.

Ciara prepared to help Ben with his ankle and mentioned that it’d be best if he had something to bite down on since this was going to “hurt like hell.” Ben was pleased over that comment since he remembered saying the very same thing to injured Ciara.

There was nothing for Ben to bite down on, so Ciara shrugged that he’d just have to deal with the pain. Ben cried out, but he admitted it felt better in the aftermath.

Ben was grateful to Ciara and explained that Ciara came to trust him the last time they were there – that Ciara felt safe and stayed with him while she figured things out.

Ciara eventually had a flashback and looked rattled, so Ben asked what she just remembered. Once Ciara snapped out of it, she argued that she was just horrified at the thought of a serial killer giving her a sponge bath.

Ciara said she needed to get to Theo and warned that the next time Ben saw her, she was going to be Mrs. Theo Carver.

After Ciara had car trouble on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, she returned and accused Ben of doing something so it wouldn’t start. Ben insisted maybe it was just the universe telling Ciara she wasn’t supposed to leave until she remembered their love.
