Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will also escape disaster for now, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on DOOL.
Eric just showed up at the townhouse, so John Black (Drake Hogestyn) received the sign he prayed for. Once Eric removes his coat and scarf, Days fans will see that he’s wearing his old priest attire.
Eric is back in the priesthood and will be able to help guide John through the difficult process ahead. He’ll determine that the only way to save Marlena’s soul is to get the whole family in on this.
It won’t be long until John gathers up as many of Marlena’s loved ones as possible.
Until then, Days spoilers say possessed Marlena will mess with Lucas and Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).
Sami just found Lucas trying to untie one of Marlena’s restraints, so he was forced to lie and claim he caught Marlena trying to get free.
Of course, Marlena insisted that Lucas was lying about that and everything else. It sounds like Marlena is on the verge of spilling the beans about Lucas being the kidnapper, but who’s going to believe her?
Marlena has already been trying to trick Sami, so it’ll seem like yet another ploy or act of manipulation.
Speaking of manipulation, Marlena will resort to some of that with Eric, too. Once Eric’s alone with Marlena, the devil will be transformed into Eileen Davidson’s Kristen DiMera.
“Kristen” will remind Eric of when they ended up in bed together, which was the result of a vengeful scheme that left Eric drugged and vulnerable.
Nevertheless, “Kristen” will act like Eric must’ve enjoyed it and will encourage him to give into temptation now.
“Kristen” will toy with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) as well, but he’ll help Eric shut down all this talk of the past and focus on the exorcism that’s looming.
In addition to John, Eric, Brady and Sami, we’ll see Belle Brady (Martha Madison), Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) join this effort to save Marlena from the devil inside her.
There’ll be plenty of love and prayers surrounding Marlena, who’ll ultimately be freed from the devil’s torment – though it seems this sinister force may remain in Salem in other ways.
Marlena will need to head to the hospital and get checked out soon, but there’ll be some holiday fun there in the meantime.
Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will make sure all the hospitalized kids have a merry Christmas, but they’ll also steal some private moments to get lovey-dovey and put any recent drama to rest.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Steve and Kayla have quite an adventure coming up in the new year, so DOOL fans will want to stay tuned.
