Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, February 16 Recap – Susan Agrees To Switch – Kristen Blasts Vivian – Orpheus Plays Rhodes

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 16, reveal that Vivian Alamain (Linda Dano) was sitting in the interrogation room at the Salem PD complaining about how Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) ruined her insanity defense when a cop brought Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera) into the room.

Once alone, Vivian asked Ivan to kill her, since she couldn’t face prison. Ivan said that he didn’t have access to the necessary herbs to “kill” Vivian, but that he brought her a present – a little paper fashioned into the shape of a heart.

Ivan asked if Vivian could ever forgive him, and Vivian said that she knew that what he did was out of loyalty. “And love, Madame,” Ivan said, kissing Vivian’s hand. The cop came back and took Ivan away.

At Statesville Prison, Rhodes (Jason Downs) balked at the idea of talking to someone other than Vincent Belman (Michael Teh), but Orpheus (George DelHoyo) said that Rhodes should sit and chat.

Orpheus said that Vincent was fine, and that he had persuaded Vincent to let him handle this meeting. Rhodes said that he didn’t want anything to do with Orpheus.

Orpheus said that he knew that Rhodes was guarding Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) and that Ciara’s family was stubborn and didn’t want to believe she was dead. Rhodes said that he had sent Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) on a wild goose chase tracking down leads.

Orpheus smiled and said that what Rhodes should be worried about isn’t Hope.

“You should be worried about me having a talk with the warden,” Orpheus said. “Vincent would be in trouble,” Orpheus continued, saying that Rhodes could either be his enemy or his friend, and that they could come up with some arrangement.

At the penthouse, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) talked about their recent food poisoning, which was apparently the result of Marlena’s cooking.

Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) arrived just as John was leaving to head to the hospital to see Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).

Ben and Ciara told Marlena about Ciara’s phone call to Ben, and they wondered if Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) was around, but she wasn’t. Susan was over at Julie’s Place eating an ice cream sundae, when she received a call from Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), who was at Statesville Prison.

Kristen urged Susan to make up her mind about switching places because Brady’s life was at stake.

Susan didn’t know what she wanted to do, and just then Marlena called Susan on the other line. Susan hung up on Kristen and spoke to Marlena, who was still over at the penthouse.

Marlena asked Susan to come over, which she did in short order. Susan took Ben’s phone, but then Susan’s phone rang, and it was Kristen calling again. Susan answered the phone, saying that now wasn’t a good time, and she hung up.

Ben freaked out, thinking that maybe it was Ciara who had called, but Susan said that it was someone else. Ben got agitated, and Marlena suggested that they give Susan a break right now. Ben and Claire left, and Marlena asked Susan who kept calling her.

Back at Statesville, Kristen was upset because Susan wouldn’t pick up her phone. “Looks like someone’s having a very bad day,” Vivian said, walking into the room. “And it just got worse,” Kristen said, unhappy to see Vivian.

Kristen blasted Vivian for what she did to Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers), and after some bickering about this, Vivian realized that Kristen might be planning another escape.

Kristen was mum about what she had planned with Susan, and Vivian left the room. Meanwhile, over at the hospital, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) brought Brady a Valentine’s Day card from his daughter. Brady was thrilled, and soon John walked in ready to take Brady back to the penthouse to recuperate.

Brady balked a bit about that, but he eventually agreed to go back to the penthouse for a while, and Chloe agreed to come check on him every day. Brady had some difficulty putting his shirt on due to the gunshot wound, and Chloe helped him get dressed, which led to an awkward moment.

Brady, John, and Chloe went to the penthouse, where Susan was upset to see Brady with Chloe. Marlena and John went to the Salem Inn to pick up some things, leaving Susan, Brady, and Chloe at the penthouse alone. Susan was miffed to see Chloe tending to Brady like a nursemaid.

Kristen then called Susan again, and Susan answered off to the side, pretending it was her friend Beulah from Memphis. In a roundabout way, Susan let Kristen know that Brady had just come home from the hospital and that Chloe was there.

Susan indicated to Kristen that she changed her mind and that she’d do what Kristen wanted. Kristen was thrilled.

Back at Julie’s Place, Claire and Ben regrouped and wondered who was keeping Ciara as their prisoner. Together, Ben and Claire concluded that Ciara must not have been in the car that exploded, and they remembered that Vincent was on his way to meet a plane at the airstrip that day.

“He’s working with someone,” Ben said. “We need to go to Statesville and start asking some questions.”
