Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 25, reveals that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) found a necklace clue while Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) hit the road. As for Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney), she feared EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) surprise visit.
At the hospital, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) flew into a rage in Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) hospital room.
Lucas mocked Brady for thinking Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had changed and was most concerned about Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) at this point.
Brady brought up the fake brain tumor fiasco, which led to Lucas spilling about Kristen throwing him down in the DiMera dungeon with Sami and sending Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) to kill them.
Lucas sarcastically wondered if Brady thought Kristen had such a good heart that she’d just give up Chloe’s location willingly.
At the Salem PD, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) sauntered in the interrogation room and insisted Kristen wasn’t getting any kind of deal.
Philip urged Kristen to reveal where she stashed Chloe, but Kristen just kept insulting Philip until he put her in a chokehold to shut her up.
Brady eventually appeared and argued that talking to Kristen was a better way to handle this. Philip reluctantly let Brady do it his way and exited, so Kristen started trying to explain herself to Brady.
Kristen ended up blurting out the truth about being the other driver in the crash, so that was yet another blow for Brady.
Talk turned to Chloe’s location, but Kristen insisted she couldn’t give up the only leverage she has. She was still holding out for an immunity deal, but Brady thought deep down Kristen knew she wasn’t getting one.
Brady felt like Kristen didn’t love him enough to tell him where Chloe was and said he’d see Kristen at trial.
However, Kristen ultimately relented and explained that Chloe was in the trunk of Kate Roberts DiMera’s (Lauren Koslow) car. Philip got updates and insisted Chloe had better be alive.
Brady also warned Kristen that if any harm had come to Chloe, he’d never forgive Kristen.
At the townhouse, Xander cornered Sami and revealed that EJ had taken back his $10 million two hours after the transfer. He wanted his money back, but Sami refused and told him to “suck it.”
Sami called Xander’s bluff and invited him to shoot her, so he whipped out and gun and decided he would.
Lucas eventually snuck in and whacked Xander in the arm with a baseball bat before getting his hands on the gun. Xander was in agony and whined about his arm being broken, so Sami twisted it and got him to cry out in pain once again.
Sami insisted it was just a sprain and stopped Lucas from calling the cops. Sami pushed Xander to take his one get-out-of-jail free card and leave.
Once Xander was gone, Lucas wondered why Sami just let Xander go like that. Sami argued that they had a bigger problem and noted that Xander had filled her in on the missing money.
Sami was suspicious since she thought EJ should’ve given her a heads-up on taking his millions back.
Sami worried EJ must’ve found out she cheated with Lucas, but Lucas argued that EJ would do a lot more if he was in the loop.
He suggested EJ would get on the plane and come knocking on their door. Moments later, there was indeed a knock on the townhouse door.
Meanwhile, Jan held a gun on Claire in the town square, but Claire didn’t think Jan really wanted to kill her. Jan warned Claire not to try playing the friend card, but Claire pointed out they were at least friends once.
In the end, Jan decided Claire might be worth more to her alive than dead anyway.
At home, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) rushed in looking for Claire. There was a noise in the other room, so Shawn held up his gun and insisted the intruder should come out with his hands up.
Ben did what he was told and explained how he got a lengthy voicemail that alerted him to the danger Claire was in. Once Ben played a portion of the voicemail, Belle and Shawn knew they were right about Claire being in Jan’s clutches.
Ben took off to search for Claire and wound up in the park, where he found a necklace Claire had left behind. Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause) appeared to Ben again and taunted him over the sweet pictures of little Claire and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) in the locket.
Jordan suggested it was before Ben ruined everything and argued Ben wasn’t the decent human being he thought he was.
After Jordan told Ben that he’d never help, he declared he should remember that and sashayed away. Ben looked at the locket and insisted Jordan was wrong. “I’m going to find Claire,” Ben promised.
Once Jan was in a car with Claire behind the wheel, she got on the phone with Shawn – but it was Belle who Jan really wanted to talk to. Jan ordered Shawn to “put that bitch on” before Belle offered to become Jan’s hostage instead.
That didn’t work for Jan, who didn’t want to spend another second with Belle for as long as she lived.
Belle shifted gears and suggested she could confess to DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) instead. She vowed to go to prison and then Jan could have Shawn just like she wanted.
Jan paused before asking what the catch was, but Belle promised there wasn’t one. Although Jan didn’t trust Belle, she agreed to think about it before hanging up.
Afterward, Jan hotwired the car and told “Thelma” it was time to hit the road. As they were driving, Chloe and Claire wondered about the noise that was coming from the trunk.
Days spoilers say DOOL fans will soon see that it’s Chloe who’s making the commotion, so stay tuned!
Back with Kristen on Tuesday’s Days episode, she asked Brady if he still loved her before Philip returned and ranted about Kristen lying to them. Philip insisted the car wasn’t where Kirsten said it’d be, so Kristen looked a bit panicked as Brady glared.
At home, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) was stuck on her irritation with Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry), but Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) convinced her to focus on them.
They shared some lovey-dovey moments before deciding to take things to the bedroom.
