Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 14, reveals that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) came along to bust Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) conspiring with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) also stopped Bonnie Lockhart’s (Judi Evans) interview, so here’s how it all went down on Tuesday’s Days episode.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Justin was hurt and fuming over Bonnie being arrested for larceny and murder. He felt like Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was right to warn him that Bonnie wasn’t Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans), but Steve suggested he ultimately saw Bonnie in a new light.
Steve got why Justin felt conned, but he also didn’t think they knew the whole story. Nevertheless, Justin acted like falling for Bonnie was an insult to Adrienne’s memory and felt he’d been wrong about his former fiancée.
“Were you? Or are you wrong now?” Steve asked. Justin ranted about the stolen money and dead body in their bed, but Steve felt there was something off about Calista and urged Justin to hear Bonnie out.
When Steve revealed that Bonnie fired her legal counsel and needed help, Justin wasn’t sure he could believe a single word she said anymore.
Steve understood, but he also wondered if Justin could honestly tell him that his feelings for Bonnie were just gone – that Justin was no longer in love with her.
In the Salem PD interrogation room, Bonnie imagined Calista Lockhart (Cady Huffman) taunting her and pointing a gun in her direction.
After Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) came in and snapped Bonnie out of her terrifying fantasy, he mentioned Bonnie firing her public defender and encouraged Bonnie to just tell him the truth.
Bonnie assured Rafe that the gun went off accidentally. She argued it was self-defense since Calista was going to kill her, but she played dumb about why Calista tried to shoot – other than the woman was “bonkers cuckoo.”
Rafe asked if Bonnie was sure this had nothing to do with using the exact gun to kill Calista’s husband.
Rafe ultimately revealed a letter Calista had left behind, which explained the Harrison murder drama and proved Calista was afraid she’d meet the same fate.
Bonnie insisted Calista was lying, but Rafe pointed out that Bonnie’s fingerprints were all over the gun.
Between that and the other evidence in this case, Rafe didn’t think there was any way a jury would believe Bonnie if this went to court.
The interrogation took an intense turn as Rafe kept pushing and pushing for answers, but Justin barged in and declared that the interview was over. “Says who?” Rafe asked. “Says her attorney,” Justin fired back.
At Basic Black on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) answered a call from Philip and turned down his lunch offer since she was busy with work.
After Chloe hung up, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) pointed out they weren’t THAT busy and suggested Chloe could’ve gone.
Chloe said she really needed to finish the quarterly projections and hinted that Philip might’ve just been calling to check up on her anyway.
After Chloe revealed how Philip accused Brady of spying on Titan, talk turned to Nicole’s divorce. Chloe said Nicole could lean on her as well as Rafe, but Nicole admitted she couldn’t lean on Rafe anymore.
Nicole explained the Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) situation, so Chloe saw some similarities between jealous Ava and Philip. However, Nicole clarified that she’d chosen to take a step back – and she added it wasn’t all in Ava’s mind since Rafe indeed had feelings for her.
Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Philip found out Ava had applied for a job at Julie’s Place and had gone legit. He thought that was too bad since Ava could’ve had someone break Brady’s legs.
Philip ranted about Brady pulling all these moves and then acting like he was paranoid, so Ava understood how Philip felt.
Once Ava explained the Nicole story and how she’d agreed to stay away from Rafe, Philip thought that was lucky.
Philip wished he could get a similar deal from Brady – though he did admit Chloe said she would stop seeing Brady as long as she proved he was behind the spying.
In the town square, Jake and Gabi approached Brady about Philip’s problematic personal vendetta against him.
Brady admitted Philip already accused him of spying on Titan – though Brady didn’t even know what a keylogger was until Philip told him.
Gabi insisted that Philip was obsessed with his hatred for Brady and barely even paid attention to his job anymore. Jake backed Gabi up as she claimed she was afraid Philip would run the entire company into the ground.
Gabi and Jake urged Brady to talk to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), so Brady got a bit suspicious and worried Gabi might have ulterior motives.
Gabi argued this was indeed personal since Gabi Chic was her life’s work! She reiterated that Titan was in danger, but Brady argued that telling Victor his son was unfit to run the company was a serious move.
That was something Brady felt he’d have to think about, but Gabi and Jake kept trying to sell him on the idea. Gabi pointed out that Titan was Brady’s legacy along with his children’s legacy.
Gabi felt like if there was a threat, then Brady owed it to the family to tell Victor. Suddenly, Philip appeared and wondered “what the hell” was going on.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi and Jake will have to think fast, so don’t miss how they handle Philip’s suspicions.
