Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, September 28 Recap – Philip Schemes to Steal Gabi’s Company – Gwen Needs Corruption Proof

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 28, reveals that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) schemed to steal Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) company – and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) needed some judge corruption proof. Here’s how it all went down on Tuesday’s DOOL episode.

In the Salem PD interrogation room, Gwen visited Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and felt terrible about dragging him into her mess. Gwen vowed to get Xander out of there – no matter what it took. She wanted to confess, but Xander didn’t think it’d make a difference since he was now in this mess because of the judge in EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feurriegel) pocket.

Gwen refused to give up and felt like Xander needed a good lawyer. Suddenly, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) walked in like it was fate. Since Xander’s judge was the same as Bonnie Lockhart’s (Judi Evans), Xander warned that the guy was corrupt.

Gwen suggested Justin and Xander could help each other, so she pushed Justin to get the ball rolling on their plot while they worked on getting corruption proof. Justin wondered if they were really asking him to blackmail the judge with evidence he didn’t have yet.

Nevertheless, Gwen argued that Justin couldn’t roll the dice when it came to Bonnie’s case. She pushed Justin to take control and ensure a future with the woman he loved. Justin refused to commit to the plan and left, but Xander was hopeful since Justin didn’t completely shut them down either.

Gwen suggested that even if Justin didn’t help, they still had to work the same angle. Since Xander and Gwen didn’t think this was about money, Xander suggested it’d be so much easier if they knew what the judge wanted. While Gwen came up with an idea about how to figure that out, Justin learned from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that Bonnie’s visiting privileges had been revoked for bad behavior.

At Basic Black on Tuesday’s Days episode, EJ showed up to share the news that Xander had been terminated and wouldn’t be back at the office. He learned the story of how Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Rafe came to share Duke the teddy bear, but he thought Rafe was an enormous embarrassment any way you sliced it.

Nicole lashed out, so EJ thought he struck a nerve and eventually determined that Nicole wanted a romance with Rafe. EJ thought Nicole could do better and in fact had done better. Nicole realized EJ was talking about their own relationship and teased EJ about his big ego. However, EJ pushed the issue and suggested getting a lovely dinner together after work.

At the townhouse, Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) acted like he was in the neighborhood and wanted to see how Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) talk with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) went. Brady didn’t remember confirming he was going to have that talk, but Jake claimed he saw Brady’s car in front of the Kiriakis mansion and assumed it happened.

Brady wondered if this was Jake’s way of saying he was keeping tabs on him. He suspected that maybe Jake wanted to be the boss at Titan, but Jake denied that. Even so, Brady could smell when sharks where circling and felt Jake would have to be smoother about it if he wanted his coup to be successful.

Jake kept trying to downplay everything, but Brady suggested they should cut the crap since Jake wanted Philip out of the way. Jake decided they’d be honest then and pushed Brady to admit he wanted the same thing. Brady got a call, so he hustled Jake out and argued that Victor was satisfied with the work Philip was doing at Titan.

Once outside the door, Jake listened as Brady rejected Victor’s offer to come between Chloe and Philip. Meanwhile, Rafe forced Gabi to apologize to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) for how she’d been treating her. Gabi’s first attempt was half-hearted, so Rafe urged his sister to apologize again like she meant it.

Although Gabi did what she was told, she still told Ava to choke on a ravioli before she left. Once Ava was alone with Rafe, she mentioned that she hadn’t heard back about the Titan job yet. Ava noted that Victor used to be in the mob back in the day, so she thought she’d fit right in the company.

At the Kiriakis mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Philip brought in a giant gift box and urged Chloe to open it. Chloe was touched to find fire and ice roses inside, which served as a blast from the past. The flowers were in a watering can for Philip and Chloe’s new sapling, which was going to need some TLC since it was freshly planted.

Philip confessed that he found out Jake and Gabi were behind the spyware at Titan. He was apologetic about accusing Brady and assured Chloe that he wouldn’t badmouth him anymore. Chloe suggested Brady could help Philip with Jake and Gabi’s takedown, but Philip wasn’t interested.

When Chloe assumed Jake would fire Gabi and Jake, he admitted he couldn’t. Gabi might regain control of the very profitable Gabi Chic – and Philip didn’t want to tip his hand by making a move against Jake either. In the end, Philip suggested that since Gabi was trying to steal his company, maybe he’d try to steal her company, too!

Back with Jake, he met up with Gabi and revealed that he’d learned an interesting piece of information. Gabi was intrigued to learn Victor wanted Brady to break up Chloe and Philip. Although Brady refused to go along with the plan, Gabi felt Chloe could be the Achilles’ heel they used to take down Philip.

Next on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, Philip paid Ava a visit and asked if she’d like to help take down Gabi. As for Chloe and Brady, they ran into each other and discussed how Brady turned down Victor’s deal. If things didn’t work out between Philip and Chloe, Brady insisted it wouldn’t be because of him.
