Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, August 20, teases that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will have a romantic proposal in mind for Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), but he’ll need Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) officiant help. Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will also make a devastating delivery, so let’s discuss what’s coming up in Salem.
Since Ben and Ciara have picked up right where they left off, they might as well get married again. There’s nothing holding these two back, so Ben will decide to pop the question once more.
Ben will wonder if Marlena would be willing to officiate an impromptu wedding, so she’ll be willing to pitch in on this special occasion.
While Ben’s rushing to pull off his latest DOOL surprise, Ciara and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) will make peace.
Claire will be relieved to know Ciara doesn’t hate her anymore and will probably be sorry for that “stone-cold bitch” comment.
However, Ciara already admitted it was true and will be apologetic about hurting Claire while she was battling amnesia.
If the kiss between Claire and Ben becomes part of this conversation, Ciara should brush past it quickly.
Now that Ciara’s happily reunited with Ben, nothing else matters except that and repairing the damage with Claire.
Thankfully, Claire will be more than willing to focus on a clean slate. In fact, Claire intends to go after a fresh start in South Africa by taking the open social media job.
Ciara will be sad that they don’t have more time to reconnect, but she’ll agree this is an amazing opportunity for Claire. It’ll even give Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) a friend to lean on during a time of heartbreak.
Ciara may push Claire to take care of Theo and enjoy this big adventure, but she’ll hope Claire will visit Salem again soon.
Of course, Belle and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) will also find out Claire’s plans. They’re protective parents due to Claire’s previous mental break and time at Bayview, but she’s been doing fine for a while now.
Claire will think it’s time to spread her wings and will eventually get Shawn’s blessing along with Belle’s.
Theo will need to pay a visit to Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) as he prepares for his flight.
Afterward, Theo will reconvene with Claire as she formally accepts the social media position and joins him on the plane to Johannesburg.
As for Ciara, Days spoilers say she’ll be on cloud nine as she accepts Ben’s new marriage proposal.
With just a small group gathered, Marlena will lead Ben and Ciara through their vows. It won’t be long until they exchange rings and officially become newlyweds again.
Back with Belle, she’ll have some crushing updates for Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Nicole knows her marriage is over, but that won’t make it any easier to receive preliminary divorce papers.
Days spoilers say Nicole will continue to struggle over losing Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), but she’ll know she has to figure out what her future looks like without him.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) may think he can help with that through an enticing offer.
After EJ thanks Nicole for dropping the letter bomb and alerting him to Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) betrayal, he’ll explain what he’s looking for.
EJ will need Nicole to assist him with something, so this may involve some business collaboration that’ll prove tough to pass up.
In the town square, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) should cover a variety of topics.
The twins may discuss concerns about Sami and how she’s holding up under the circumstances. Johnny may agree it’s weird for Sami to text and take off without fighting for her marriage.
Since Johnny isn’t a big fan of EJ right now, he should vent to Allie and explain his filmmaking plans.
Johnny might hint that there’s a new lady in his life as well, but he may not want to jinx it by oversharing since it’s so new.
Allie won’t catch onto the fact that Johnny and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) are into each other – not yet anyway!
Allie can bring Johnny up to speed on Sweet Bits, her romance with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and how Henry Horton’s (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) doing.
You can bet Johnny will want some uncle time with Henry, so Allie may insist they can make that happen.
