Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, January 15, teases that Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) will move past her state of denial. Claire wanted so desperately to believe Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) was telling the truth, but that was one big manipulative act at the police station.
In fact, Charlie’s been keeping all kinds of secrets throughout his romance with Claire. Charlie knew Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) was his half-brother back when he first “met” Claire’s ex.
DOOL fans know Charlie had the nerve to “protect” Claire from Tripp, but he was Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) real assaulter the whole time.
Claire will feel sorry for Allie and for herself since she’ll be battling so much heartache. Charlie gave Claire two tickets to see her favorite band for Valentine’s Day.
It was the perfect Christmas gift, but Claire won’t be having a romantic night with her boyfriend after all. Now Claire will be dwelling on how it all went so horribly wrong.
Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will check on Claire in Friday’s episode and offer a pep talk. During their conversation, Claire will sob over falling in love with Charlie and never even having an inkling that he was such a bad guy.
Days viewers will recall that Claire struggled to jump back into dating. She initially gravitated toward Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) since he was safe and familiar, but she finally found the courage to pursue something new with Charlie.
Now that Claire’s relationship has crashed and burned, she’ll wonder where she goes from here. Part of Claire may want to throw in the towel on love entirely, but Belle will feel like Claire just needs to heal her broken heart and keep looking to the future.
As for Charlie, he’ll be the one in denial about Claire and what they still might have together. Charlie will think he can salvage things if he just keeps playing dumb about the accusations against him. He’ll be adamant that it must’ve been Tripp who attacked Allie in London, not him.
Despite Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) discovery of Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) in Charlie’s apartment, Charlie will reject the idea that he did anything wrong.
Even when Rafe comes at Charlie with Ava’s toxicology report, Charlie will pretend he has no idea why Ava was drugged or how she wound up in his place.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Rafe will keep at it, but Ava’s hallucinations and hazy memories could pose issues when it come to the charges against Charlie. As for Tripp, he’ll take matters into his own hands by breaking into Charlie’s apartment and heading to the bathroom to steal a toothbrush.
Tripp will want to confirm once and for all that Charlie is his half-brother – just as Ava claims.
While Tripp’s sneaking around, he’ll hear a commotion in the hall and worry Charlie has returned home. Tripp will take a quick look around and spot a baseball bat he can use to protect himself.
Once the door opens and a man steps inside, it looks like Tripp will take a whack at him. Unfortunately, it’ll be Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) who’s on the receiving end of that whack!
Tripp will be relieved to see it’s Steve instead of Ava’s other shady son – and he’ll be relieved when Steve’s OK following the attack blunder. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Steve and Tripp will take Charlie’s bagged up DNA sample to Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).
It sounds like Kayla will put a rush on this DNA test at the hospital, so Tripp’s well on his way to clearing his name.
Kayla can certainly check to see if Charlie is a match for Ava, which will prove Charlie’s lying about his lack of connection to her. Henry Horton’s (Jayna and Kinsley) information should still be on file as well, so Kayla can hopefully confirm Charlie is the father.
Kayla can always spring for a test with more genetic markers to prove Charlie is more closely related to Henry than Tripp.
However, DNA testing will still take a little time – and none of this is being done by the book. This isn’t a legal solution, but it can at least show Allie’s loved ones that Tripp isn’t the guilty party.
As Friday’s episode approaches its cliffhanger, look for Tripp and Charlie to have an intense showdown. This argument will really heat up on Monday, so DOOL fans will want to tune in.
Until then, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) will talk about Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) issue with their New Year’s Eve gesture. Kristen flipped out over the platonic kiss Brady shared with Chloe, which is honestly understandable since Brady’s still in a committed relationship.
If Brady wants to go around kissing his ex-wives, he needs to call it quits with Kristen. In fact, Chloe will wonder if maybe that’s what Brady should do. Should Brady break up with Kristen and set himself free to pursue other options?
Brady will feel like he’d be miserable if he dumped Kristen – partly because he loves her and partly because it would devastate her.
Chloe won’t be certain Brady can sustain a real relationship with Kristen under these difficult circumstances. Nevertheless, Brady will likely vow to keep waiting for Kristen and just tough it out as best as he can.
The real problem that’s brewing for “Bristen” is Kristen’s battle with the dark side. Brady has inadvertently awakened the schemer in Kristen. You’d be surprised what a DiMera can do behind bars when she’s got a goal in mind!
Days of Our Lives spoilers point to Kristen’s jealousy running wild, so she’s going to make Chloe a target in some way in the weeks ahead. That could blow things up with Brady in a whole new way, so it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out. As other news becomes available, we’ll bring you updates.
