Days of Our Lives Spoilers Update: Friday, January 22 – Allie Gets Ben’s Help – Abigail’s Fury Over Half-Sister Gwen

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, January 22, teases that Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will find out the truth about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).

Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) played up the family loyalty angle and pried a confession out of Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay). As a result, Chad knows all about Gwen’s true agenda and why she’s made the Deveraux family her victims.

Abigail will be taken aback over the news that Gwen is Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) biological daughter. It’ll take Abigail a minute to process the fact that she has a half-sister she never knew about – particularly one who just slept with her husband!

Chad will also tell Abigail that it was Gwen who drugged her, not Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).

Abigail will realize Gwen’s hatred for the family must’ve been building up since her childhood. Of course, part of Abigail will wonder if this could be another one of Gwen’s mind games.

Even though the information came from Dr. Rolf, Abigail will still want to verify Gwen’s daughter status with Jack soon enough.

Meanwhile, Jack will be working on that very task. He’ll most likely struggle to believe that Gwen could possibly be his child, but Gwen will insist it’s the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

There’ll be some woeful tale of abandonment that Gwen shares. Gwen will probably talk about how Jack just left her mom high and dry with a baby girl to raise on her own.

Jack looked stunned by Gwen’s daughter bombshell, so he doesn’t seem to have a clue that he ever had another kid out there. If Jack had known, it seems like he would’ve been there for Gwen just the same as Abigail and JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss).

However, Gwen will feel like Jack intentionally walked away and left her to face hardship after hardship.

Abigail had the ideal life as far as Gwen’s concerned, so she decided to dismantle it piece by piece. Since Abigail is the daughter that Daddy doted on, it’s easy to see why Gwen was jealous.

Some DOOL fans have wondered why Gwen didn’t really target JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), but there are some simple answers for that. For starters, JJ is a guy. It made more sense for Gwen to go after Abigail as the golden girl who stole Gwen’s spot in Jack’s heart.

Plus, there’s no denying that JJ has been the more challenging child for Jack and Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain). JJ has spent most of his life in all sorts of trouble, so Gwen may feel like Jack didn’t favor him like he did Abigail.

Gwen might think that Abigail’s mistakes were glossed over because of her mental illness while JJ actually had to pay for his own screwups.

Whatever the case, Gwen will explain the story of how she grew up resenting her father and came to Salem to make the Deveraux family suffer. Jack may reflect on being in Europe right around when Gwen would’ve been conceived.

Although Jack will eventually realize Gwen’s telling the truth, he’ll feel like they could’ve had an actual bond if she’d just come to him and explained from the start.

Gwen will probably fire back that she didn’t want a relationship; she just wanted revenge – which she definitely got. Later, Abigail will meet up with Jack and wonder if Gwen’s story is legit.

It looks like Jack will have to admit that it seems that way. Gwen’s info should check out based on Jack’s memories of sleeping with her mom, but they could always do a DNA test if Gwen will consent to one.

Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will finally announce herself at DiMera Enterprises. Kate found Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) in the middle of a passionate moment, so she’ll wonder what they think they’re doing.

Jake may give Gabi a slight shove and argue this isn’t what it looks like. He’ll probably put the blame on Gabi for making moves on him when he already rejected her. Kate may think it’s time for Gabi to leave, but she’ll hurl some insults on her way out the door.

It’ll become obvious to Kate that Gabi isn’t going to give Jake up without a fight, but Jake will insist he wants Kate and Kate alone.

In the town square, a glum Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will catch Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) eye. Ben seems to feel a sense of duty when it comes to people Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) cared about, so he won’t walk away when Allie needs a friend.

Days spoilers say Allie will be upset over not being able to remember the night of her assault clearly. Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will bring up hypnosis as an option, which Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) already discussed with Allie.

Although it’ll seem like something that might work, Allie will worry about how it’ll feel to go through that trauma again.

Allie will need Ben’s help, so he may answer questions and reveal what it’s like to be hypnotized. Ben might assure Allie that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) handles each hypnotherapy session as gently as possible. He’ll get that this could be a painful experience for Allie, but he’ll also know it could pay off.

If Allie wants to firmly identify Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) as her attacker, hypnosis might be her best hope.

Allie will surely thank Ben for his assistance and continue to mull over this big decision. She’ll let Marlena put her under in the week ahead, so that’ll definitely bring a traumatic episode.

Until then, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) will have to face a persistent Charlie outside the pub. Since Claire hasn’t been answering Charlie’s calls, he’ll hope to talk to her in person.

Claire won’t think they have anything left to say since Charlie lied to her repeatedly and assaulted her cousin. She’ll want Charlie to leave her alone, but Charlie will plead for Claire to believe in him.

Charlie may admit he kept some secrets and fudged the facts in some cases. However, Charlie will continue to lie about Allie’s assault and will beg Claire to believe in their enduring love story. DOOL fans will probably see Charlie keep pushing this soulmate idea, but Claire will insist they’re over.

Ben will appear just in time to break things up before they escalate any further. He’ll find a rattled Claire and let Charlie know he’d better move it along.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say there’ll be a brief showdown, but Charlie will ultimately back off since Ben’s pretty scary when he wants to be!
