Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, August 23, teases that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) will want the name of Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) other crush while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) get ready for their honeymoon.
For starters, Days spoilers say Chanel’s lunch date with Johnny will take an unexpected turn. Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will come blowing in the restaurant and will make a mess for her daughter.
It looks like Paulina may mention something about Chanel’s attraction to a girl and leave Johnny curious.
Of course, Johnny won’t make a big deal about Chanel being fluid, but he’ll probably joke about needing to check out the competition. He’ll want to hear about this girl who’s caught Chanel’s eye and will hope she’s willing to reveal her name.
However, Chanel will suggest the girl’s name is “none-ya” – as in “none-ya business.” She’ll be embarrassed over Paulina’s blunder and won’t think there’s any point to discussing her failed attempt at a romance.
Chanel will be much more interested in talking about a potential new one with Johnny, so he’ll like the sound of that.
While sparks fly for Johnny and Chanel, Days spoilers say Ben and Ciara will look to the future. Now that they’re married again, they can talk about that honeymoon they never got to go on.
Ciara and Ben will obviously need some time to plan before they can actually take that trip, but this seems like a good chance to discuss it.
Naturally, Ben and Ciara might talk about other things they want to do as well – like get a new place together and prepare for children one day.
Since Ciara and Ben understandably can’t get enough of each other right now, they’ll also want to hit the sheets and seal the deal on their remarriage. This will be a day of “Cin” celebration as Ben and Ciara enjoy being newlyweds once more.
Over with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), DOOL spoilers say she’ll still be on Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) radar.
Julie doesn’t trust Gwen at all and won’t believe Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) was the only guilty party in all the drug mayhem.
Gwen isn’t some innocent sweetheart, so Julie will feel like she’s hiding the extent of her involvement.
Xander’s taking the blame for being Dr. Clay Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) partner in crime, so Gwen will continue to be a mixture of grateful and nervous for him.
As for EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel), he’ll want to help Xander climb out of the hole he’s dug for himself. Xander delivered the cheating shocker that ruined Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) anniversary bash as well as her marriage.
That infuriated Nicole enough to retaliate and expose Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) betrayal, but the chain reaction started with Xander’s blabbing.
EJ will think Xander deserves a reward for that, so he’ll rely on his lawyer roots and offer to take Xander’s case.
It sounds like Xander will go along with EJ’s proposal and hopefully be well on his way to full freedom soon. EJ will expect Xander to be indebted to him after this, so that could present some problems down the road.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander and EJ’s alliance will bring some complications eventually, so stay tuned to DOOL.
