Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, August 26, teases that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will go on an ammo hunt. Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) will also make a heartbreaking choice after angry Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) discovery, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
In the town square, Ava will get guidance from a surprising source. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was first in line to warn Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) about Ava, who used to be completely obsessed with Steve and did some wild things as a result.
However, it looks like Steve will put his own issues with Ava aside and help with her current romance. Once Steve gets updates on Ava’s jealousy, he may think she’s in dangerous territory.
Steve might argue that there’s a fine line between love and obsession, so Ava might admit she’s being too possessive.
At the Hernandez house, Nicole will unload her problems and blame herself for being a horrible person. Of course, Rafe sees the good in Nicole and will hope he can shift her perspective.
Nicole and Rafe will share a warm embrace just in time for Ava’s return home, so any plans Ava had for an apology may go right out the window!
Although Ava may not be handling all this very well, she’s right on the money about Rafe’s feelings for Nicole and his denial of them.
After Nicole witnesses the tension between Rafe and Ava, she’ll feel guilty once again. Nicole will hate the idea of wrecking another relationship, so she’ll choose to distance herself from Rafe.
It’ll be painful to stay away from someone who’s become her closest friend, but it seems Nicole will feel it’s for the best.
At Titan, Jake’s strategy will work like a charm. When Jake realized Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) was on the fence about hiring him due to Kate Roberts’ (Lauren Koslow) warning, he had a clever response.
Jake tried to act like he didn’t want to work for someone who couldn’t trust his own instincts over his mother’s.
Philip will determine that Jake is right and refuse to let Kate sabotage his shot at snatching up a valuable team member.
Gabi will also meet up with Jake once he’s officially hired, so they’ll search for ammo around Philip’s office while he’s gone.
Jake and Gabi may not come up with much of anything just yet. It also appears there’ll be a close call where they nearly get busted, but Gabi and Jake will keep their scheme in play for now.
As for Philip, he’ll face off with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) over the New York business trip that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) just has to go on!
Chloe has actually been trying to wiggle out of it since she knows Philip isn’t going to like this. However, Brady doesn’t see the big deal and feels Chloe must accompany him now that Nicole’s unavailable.
Like Chloe, Philip will suspect Brady’s just trying to get Chloe alone and pull her closer.
Nevertheless, Brady will insist business is business – and Chloe may back him up in the end. Besides, DOOL fans know Philip is supposed to be trusting Chloe since they recently had a crucial talk about that topic.
Days spoilers say Philip will fume over this trip, but he won’t convince Chloe to skip it. That means Philip’s going to do plenty of worrying and will ultimately take a New York trip of his own in the coming episodes.
Until then, it seems Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) will sit down for a wedding cake tasting that goes awry.
The cake stand will topple over and turn Justin into a frosted groom-to-be, but he won’t care with Bonnie by his side.
There’ll be some lovey-dovey Days moments as Justin and Bonnie look forward to their big day, but Bonnie will soon have more important things to worry about than her nuptials.
Bonnie’s past will come back to bite her before the week’s over, so she’s in for a rocky ride!
