Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, July 1, teases that there’ll be some Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) corpse horror at the lake, so that’ll lead to Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) comforting Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold). Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) will also surprise Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), so let’s talk about all the brewing bombshells.
At Ben’s apartment, he’ll dream that Ciara remembers him and has come home for a “Cin” reunion. Ciara will move in close for a kiss, but Ben will eventually awaken and get ready to do something in the real world.
It’ll be Independence Day in Salem, so Ben will go along with Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) idea for some fun in the sun.
Claire and Ben will meet up with Tripp and Allie by the lake, where the girls will decide to go for a dip. That’ll give Ben and Tripp some time to chat alone, so Ben might admit he’s been dreaming about Ciara.
There’ll be a little piece of Ben that’s hoping he had a premonition – that Ciara will indeed return to Salem to reunite with him.
However, Allie and Claire’s screams will bring the guys’ discussion to a screeching halt. Ben and Tripp will help deal with a corpse that’s found floating nearby, so they’ll have a chance to see who it is.
It’ll be Tripp who makes the ID since he’s been working under Dr. Snyder at the hospital.
Next, Chanel Dupree (Precious Way) will have another uncomfortable run-in with a naked or at least nearly naked Eli Grant (Lamon Archey). Eli needs to learn to get dressed when other people are in the apartment!
Of course, Chanel could also stand to get a place of her own – and that’s something Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) will remind her cousin of in Thursday’s DOOL episode.
Lani’s previous hints were more subtle, but she’ll be more straightforward this time and push Chanel to make new living arrangements soon.
Chanel will have to put the awkwardness aside and focus on the priority of keeping a big secret.
It seems Eli will recruit Chanel for some anniversary party prep, but they’ll have a hard time keeping Lani in the dark on the bash.
Days spoilers say Eli will look forward to the gathering, but he’ll be summoned for a new case first. Of course, that new case will involve the discovery of Dr. Snyder’s dead body.
Tripp and the others will call Eli down to the lake for this investigation, so Eli will check things out and assume this wasn’t accidental.
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will fret over the dead body disposal secret coming out, but Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) may push her to relax.
He might think they did a great job of getting rid of the deceased doc, but that’s not true since Dr. Snyder’s being found already!
Xander still doesn’t have all the facts when it comes to how Dr. Snyder roped Gwen into being his drug mule.
It appears Gwen will tell Xander the whole truth on Thursday, so she may confess that she wasn’t pregnant when she fell down the stairs.
Gwen’s miscarriage actually happened beforehand, but Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) isn’t in the loop on that.
Xander may warn Gwen not to do anything else that might hurt Jack, but he has no business judging her for lies and schemes.
Perhaps Xander will give Gwen a pass on this, especially since she was grieving the loss of her child when she put that plan in motion.
Days spoilers say Eli will wind up at the Horton house later. He’ll be there to quiz Gwen about Dr. Snyder and his untimely demise, so Gwen may start to panic.
Luckily, Xander will be there to intervene if Gwen gets tripped up. He’s usually as cool as a cucumber in situations like this!
Gwen and Xander have made more trouble than necessary since Dr. Snyder simply had a heart attack, but they’re in too deep to back out now.
While Xander and Gwen deal with a mess of their own making, Tripp will console a rattled Allie. Seeing a dead body will shake Allie up, but he’ll be there to hold her hand and offer words of reassurance.
Ben has seen plenty of corpses before, so he won’t be all that bothered by the sight of dead Dr. Snyder. He’ll still be distracted over that dream about Ciara, which will turn out to be somewhat of a premonition after all.
Ciara will still have amnesia when she returns, but she’ll indeed head to Ben’s place and surprise him in the flesh.
The end of Thursday’s episode should set up Ciara’s in-person divorce demand on Friday, so Ben will have to keep fighting for his marriage! As other Days news pops up, we’ll provide updates.
