Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, June 17, teases that Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will have a surprise delivery for Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) makes a Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) choice. Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will also face a bombshell, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
At Julie’s Place, Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) will continue to blast Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) for how he’s treated her. There’s no pleasing Steve since he doesn’t like the real Bonnie, but he doesn’t like her toned-down personality that’s too reminiscent of Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) either.
However, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) has given Steve a lecture – and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) has been doing her best to help promote peace.
Once Steve apologizes and convinces Bonnie he intends to do better, she may calm down and hope a way forward is possible. All Bonnie’s looking for is acceptance within Justin’s circle of friends, so let’s hope she finds it eventually.
At the Brady Pub, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will wonder if she heard Chanel Dupree (Precious Way) correctly. Paulina isn’t in the loop on Chanel liking both girls and guys, so she was surprised to hear Chanel and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) had kissed.
Chanel will fill Paulina in on it being a one-time deal when they were caught up in a fun moment. However, Chanel will admit she’s indeed attracted to women and has been with some before.
Chanel will assure Paulina that it isn’t a big deal and hope she won’t make it out to be one.
Although Paulina will struggle to wrap her head around this bombshell, she should accept Chanel for who she is and what she wants. That said, Paulina may want to make sure Chanel and Allie can still work well as partners on the bakery.
Allie and Chanel will maintain that they’re just friends, but Days spoilers say they’re teetering on the edge of more – or at least they will be as this storyline heats up this summer.
In the meantime, Paulina will share a private moment with Abe Carver (James Reynolds), who’ll take Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) advice and go in for a kiss.
As for Chanel and Allie, they’ll cross paths with Tripp in the Horton Town Square. Tripp will have a brown bag that he intends to take to Ava, so he may pick up his mom’s favorite pastry or something along those lines.
When Tripp heads to the Hernandez house and surprises Ava, he’ll realize she’s in the middle of something. It seems Ava and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will be trying to have a romantic evening alone, but Rafe won’t mind giving Ava some time alone with her son instead.
Tripp will open up to Ava and perhaps let her open up to him as well. They may acknowledge that their love lives are going well before Tripp takes off again.
Days spoilers state that Ava and Rafe will lock lips once their private night together is back on track, so Tripp won’t derail the steaminess for long.
At home, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) will have Ben on her mind. Claire will whip out her cell phone and presumably give Ben a call, so we’ll see if he picks up or lets it go to voicemail.
Either way, Claire will probably offer her gratitude once again since Ben rescued her from that cabin fire.
Shawn and Belle will enjoy their planned celebration, but they’ll also pick up on Claire’s uneasiness at some point. These concerned parents might even eavesdrop on Claire’s phone conversation and hear something about the kiss she initiated with Ben.
One way or another, Claire will wind up admitting something significant to Belle and Shawn. It makes sense that it’ll be the kiss blunder and Ben’s guilt in the aftermath. It’s Claire who feels like the true guilty party since Ben’s still hopelessly devoted to Ciara.
Ben will turn to Rafe for some advice in Thursday’s DOOL episode, but Rafe won’t tell him what he wants to hear. Rafe will think the best thing Ben could do for Ciara is grant her divorce demand and let her be happy without him.
Since there’s no guarantee Ciara’s memories will return, Rafe may contend that Ben has to accept that. Ben doesn’t have to give up all hope, but Rafe will still think it’s best to prepare for the worst and avoid creating more Ciara strife.
Ben will mull over Rafe’s guidance and ultimately reject it. There’s just no way Ben can ever fully give up on Ciara and the beautiful future they could have together. We’ll provide updates as other Days news becomes available.
