Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, May 20, teases that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will seek divorce comfort from Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) while Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) falls into Shawn Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) trap. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will also face a blackmail bomb, so here’s what you can look forward to on Thursday’s stunning show.
For starters, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) should be her usual belligerent self when she crosses paths with Belle Brady (Martha Madison). Trask still intends to send Belle to prison for killing Charlie Dale (Mike Manning), but Jan will push the DA to make it happen ASAP.
Of course, Shawn has no intention of letting Belle wind up at Statesville. He’ll give Belle updates on a new scheme that could dupe Jan and score a full murder confession.
Shawn will think they can trap Jan into admitting she shot Charlie and then made sure Belle would pay for it.
It sounds like Shawn will want to record that admission of guilt, but first thing’s first. They have to get down to the business of tricking Jan first. Shawn won’t think it’ll be too hard as long as they focus on Jan’s weak spot – and that’s Shawn!
Jan would love nothing more than to become a real couple with Shawn and live happily ever after, so he’ll make her think it could happen.
Shawn will start by staging a loud argument with Belle in the Horton Town Square. Jan will witness this heated faceoff and will no doubt step up to comfort Shawn in the aftermath.
Shawn will probably act like Jan understands him and loves him in unconditionally unlike Belle.
As Shawn’s ruse continues, he’ll share a smooch with Jan and suggest they should take their sizzling connection to a hotel suite.
However, Shawn’s plan isn’t as foolproof as he thinks it is. He’s about to find that out the hard way since Jan’s going to cause plenty of hostage drama in the coming episodes.
In the meantime, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will feel like she needs to clear her head and get as far away from Gwen as possible. Days spoilers state that Abigail will make that choice and announce she’s leaving town.
Abigail will return down the road, but she’ll probably go to Boston and help Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) for the time being.
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will be on the receiving end of Abigail’s big news, so they’ll definitely be thrown for a loop in Thursday’s DOOL episode.
As for Gwen, she’ll land in the middle of Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) showdown. Gwen’s nwe living arrangement will definitely stir up some anger for Julie.
As far as Julie’s concerned, Gwen shouldn’t be welcome in the old Horton family home. However, Gwen will appreciate it when Jack once again defends her and pushes for her second chance. Once Gwen is alone with Jack, she’ll admit something and share a tender moment with her father.
Gwen’s confession won’t relate to the fudged timing of her miscarriage, so it has to be about something else. Perhaps Gwen will make a bogus confession about feeling guilty or just confess how much it means to have a dad who has her back.
Whatever the case, Jack will continue to prioritize his relationship with Gwen over his relationship with Abigail. Jack and Chad aren’t treating Abigail right, so they deserve to watch her walk away for now!
Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gwen will have another appointment with Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry). Gwen will find herself in a bind since Dr. Snyder will threaten to blab the miscarriage truth.
Dr. Snyder knows Gwen’s fall wasn’t the cause of her baby loss, so he’s got major leverage.
Since Gwen made such a huge deal out of blaming Abigail for the staircase fall, she can’t have this secret getting out. While Gwen reacts to Dr. Snyder’s blackmail shocker, Ben will be heartbroken over Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) terrible delivery.
Ciara will make sure Ben gets divorce papers, so he’ll guzzle a beer at the pub while he frets over them.
Days spoilers say Ben will need someone to talk to as he processes this tough blow. He’ll turn to Claire for support and suggest he should get on a plane to South Africa right away. Ben will feel like Ciara might have a change of heart if he talks to her face to face.
However, Claire won’t think that’s wise since Ben could seem like a stalker and freak Ciara out. She’ll think the best thing Ben can do is accept Ciara’s decision for the time being.
Ben will decide Claire’s right and will thank her for the support. This warm moment will turn to a steamy one as Claire pulls Ben in for a lip lock.
Ben will let himself get swept away by the kiss briefly, but he’ll eventually decide to pull back and shut it down. Although Ben cares about Claire as a pal, Ciara is still the only woman he really craves.
DOOL spoilers say Claire will apologize in the aftermath, so they’ll have to work through some awkwardness soon enough.
