Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Tuesday, January 19, tease that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will insist he’s an innocent man – at least this time around! Xander has committed his fair share of crimes in the past, including when he recruited Dr. Amanda Raynor (Victoria Platt) for the baby swap and then blackmailed her to keep quiet.
Since Dr. Raynor has become the top snatcher suspect, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) has decided it’s time to grill Xander. DOOL fans know Xander also kidnapped Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) back when Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) was posing as Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).
Since Xander has a history of scooping up kids, that’ll get him in trouble in Tuesday’s episode.
Rafe will hand off interrogation duty to Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers), but it seems Lani will be too emotional for this right now.
Lani’s desperate to get her babies back, so things should get pretty heated as she lashes out. Eli may urge Lani to step out and calm down while he tries to get to the truth.
Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) should be firmly in Xander’s corner on Tuesday. After all, Xander’s been completely focused on bringing down Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson).
When would Xander have been plotting to kidnap the Grant twins – not to mention why would he want them? Sarah may get Lani to see that there has to be another explanation here.
As for Xander, he’ll assure Eli that he wasn’t part of a new scheme with Dr. Raynor. The baby switch only happened because Xander didn’t want to cause Sarah and Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) pain. There’d be no motive for Xander to blow up his life again by stealing Lani and Eli’s twins.
Eli should buy Xander’s innocence eventually, but he’ll still pump Xander for information. Since Xander was previously linked to Dr. Raynor, he might know how she can be reached.
Days spoilers say Xander will be part of Eli’s trap for Dr. Raynor next week. It sounds like Xander will do his best to make sure a Grant family reunion happens, but there’s bound to be more trouble.
Dr. Raynor was forced into this plot by Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera), who’s working for Vivian Alamain (Linda Dano). There are plenty of clues to sort through as Lani and Eli seek the truth. Since Vivian is believed to be dead in Salem, that’ll certainly present more complications.
Other DOOL spoilers say Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will seethe after Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) unleashes a scandal. Gwen will either tip off the press or Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) himself to Chad’s latest bedroom blunder.
Since Gwen is employed by Chad, the fact that he slept with her is a huge deal – one that should cost him the DiMera throne.
Chad will scramble to explain how Gwen tricked him and was plotting against Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) family the entire time. Unfortunately, that defense won’t appease Li, who’ll think it sounds like Chad was “too stupid” to know he was being tricked.
How can Chad be trusted to run DiMera Enterprises when he couldn’t even see what Gwen was up to?
Li will bring up that point along with plenty of others on Tuesday. Since there’ll be a news article circulating, that may be how Chad learns he’s in serious trouble. Nevertheless, it’ll probably be Li himself who announces that Chad’s fired.
As for Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), he’ll be grinning when it’s his turn to chat with Li. Jake will be moving on up at DiMera, so his wish to be CEO may be granted. Even if it’s just a trial run at first, Jake will gladly accept this exciting opportunity. You can bet Jake will enjoy Chad’s suffering just a bit, too!
Jake will head to his new office at DiMera Enterprises later, but he’ll face another shocker once he’s there. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will reappear out of the blue.
Jake won’t see this return coming at all – nor will he expect Gabi’s big announcement. There’ll be some business to settle as far as Gabi’s concerned.
Gabi might rejoin the team at DiMera Enterprises since she’ll need a job back in Salem. That could involve Gabi becoming co-CEOs with Jake – or maybe the COO under him.
Then again, Gabi Chic was always Gabi’s baby. She might convince Li that she’s got some fabulous new ideas and should take over that division once more.
Of course, none of what’s happening at DiMera will matter as much as Gabi’s personal agenda. Days spoilers say Gabi will be determined to lock in a future with Jake.
Although Jake and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) are in a legitimate relationship now, Gabi will pretty much ignore that roadblock and concentrate on what she wants.
Back with Chad, he’ll face Abigail’s heartbreaking decision. After Abigail loads up her suitcase, she’ll tell Chad she’s leaving him. Chad will remind Abigail of his enduring love, but Abigail won’t think love is at the core of their problems.
Abigail can’t trust Chad anymore, so that’ll be her reason for walking out on her husband.
Over with Maggie, she’ll voice her displeasure over Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) new love interest, Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans). Maggie will probably act like Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) is rolling in her grave over this odd match!
Bonnie certainly isn’t Maggie’s favorite person, so Maggie will explode at her on Tuesday. She’ll also urge Justin to run in the opposite direction, but Justin will insist on taking Bonnie on a date and seeing where things lead. We’ll offer updates as other DOOL details emerge.
