Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 21, reveals that Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) pushed Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) for answers about whether Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) was pregnant and would keep her baby.
Kayla took Abigail back to her office and insisted she couldn’t divulge private medical info, but Abigail quickly seemed to accept it was all true.
Abigail broke down crying in Kayla’s arms and admitted she felt out of control. She was so consumed with hatred for Gwen and couldn’t stop thinking about ways to punish her half-sister.
Kayla thought Abigail should focus on the things she could control rather than the things she couldn’t. She encouraged Abigail to be brutally honest with Chad, trust their love and try to find a way to heal.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Chad wondered why Gwen had decided to keep her baby. Gwen promised this wasn’t about Abigail and talked about how she didn’t want to see the screen during the sonogram at first.
However, Gwen ultimately changed her mind and it showed her this wasn’t just an “it” anymore. This was a tiny little person, so weepy Gwen hoped to show this baby all the love she so desperately wanted and never got.
Chad accepted this was Gwen’s choice and added that he accepted the responsibilities of being a parent to this child. Suddenly, Abigail barged in the living room and insisted she knew Gwen was pregnant – and that Gwen was keeping the baby.
Abigail could tell by the look on Kayla’s face that the hospital test confirmed the pregnancy.
Abigail snapped that of course Gwen wanted to keep her husband’s baby. Abigail thought Gwen would use it to remind her half-sister of all the things she’d taken from her.
Chad piped up to tell Abigail that’s not the way it is, so she fired back to ask “how the hell is it” then.
Abigail grumbled about Chad and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) always rushing to Gwen’s defense. She reminded Gwen that she came to Salem to ruin her life and insisted Gwen had done it.
At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days episode, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) paid Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) another visit and wanted to discuss their recent kiss.
Ciara didn’t see why she shouldn’t kiss Theo since she felt close to him. Theo pointed out that Ciara was married, but Ciara insisted she didn’t want Ben to be her husband.
After ranting about Ben’s past, Ciara shifted the conversation back to her potential future with Theo. She felt like they were robbed of their chance to be together when she came back to Salem after Theo got shot.
Ciara suggested it felt like this could be another chance for them, but Theo confessed he was afraid of getting hurt.
Theo worried about what would happen if he fell hard for Ciara again and then she remembered her love for Ben. Ciara argued that she didn’t want to get hurt either and pointed out that Ben scares her.
Ciara insisted she was done being scared and felt like Ben hadn’t changed since he just tried to inject her with a syringe full of drugs.
Ciara made it clear that she had no intention of going back to Ben. She added that they didn’t have to jump right into a relationship. “We could just be us and see where things go,” Ciara said. She asked what Theo thought and got a smile in return.
Meanwhile on Wednesday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) was stunned over the news that Ben had tried to inject Ciara with the memory serum.
Claire understood that Ben was desperate, but she didn’t approve of Ben hovering over Ciara in her sleep and nearly jabbing her with a dangerous drug.
Ben admitted that Theo stopped him and felt like Theo was always there coming between them. Claire acted a bit uncomfortable, so Ben thought knew more than she was letting on. Claire confessed she suspected Theo still had feelings for Ciara and tried to talk to him about that.
A riled Ben insisted he’d go back to Ciara’s room and make her understand why they should be together. Claire thought that was the last thing Ben should be doing and warned him to stop pushing.
Claire was in the same boat since Ciara hated her as well, but they felt it was important to back off and hope Ciara would remember her missing memories once she was out of the hospital.
Ben finally agreed to back off, but he still wanted to visit Ciara and offer a quick apology. Claire was satisfied with that and then summoned Theo to talk about Ciara.
Back in Ciara’s hospital room, Ben told Ciara he just wanted to tell her one thing. He insisted he was sorry about the injection attempt and would be giving her some space from now on.
Ben felt confident Ciara would remember their love eventually, but Ciara said she wasn’t going back to ben and that they’d never be together again. She then revealed that she’d decided to leave Salem.
In Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) hotel suite, Chanel Dupree Kiriakis (Precious Way) argued with her new husband about the divorce payout he was demanding. Chanel thought she had grounds for an annulment if Xander wouldn’t cooperate on the divorce.
Xander felt it’d be his word against Chanel’s on all the points she brought up, but he didn’t see why they had to be on opposite sides here. The way Xander saw it, they both wanted money. Xander suggested splitting the divorce settlement 50-50 after squeezing it out of rich Paulina Price (Jackee Harry).
After Paulina pushed Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) to go over to Xander’s hotel room and talk some sense into Chanel, Lani agreed to try. Once Lani arrived, Xander pretended it was hard to tear himself away from his new wife and kissed Chanel on the head.
In a moment alone, Lani urged Chanel to see that she was a smart woman and could have a bright future. Chanel seemed to get an idea and thought Lani was right.
Chanel admitted Xander was demanding a divorce payout, but she insisted she didn’t want to go crawling back to Paulina for money. Lani offered to talk to Paulina for Chanel and asked about the amount of this payout.
When Lani reconvened with Paulina, she revealed that Xander was willing to grant a divorce in exchange for a settlement. Paulina had no problem with that and was eager to write a check since the sky was the limit if it meant getting Chanel away from Xander.
However, Paulina scowled in shock when she learned Xander wanted $10 million.
Xander returned to Chanel and marveled at the $10 million she’s pushed for. He noted that meant $5 mill for him and $5 mill for her, so Chanel praised Xander for being a math whiz.
Chanel added that she married Xander for richer or for richer – and if all went well, that’s exactly what they’d both be.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Paulina and Xander will spar over this payout as this week’s drama continues, so stay tuned to DOOL. CDL’s where you want to be for the hottest Days of Our Lives spoilers, news and updates!
