Days of Our Lives (DOOL) for recap Wednesday, April 7, reveals that Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) discussed Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) daughter, Chanel Dupree (Precious Way), before talk turned to Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal).
Julie was hopeful about the hypnosis working, but she sensed that Theo was uneasy. After Julie assured Theo it was safe, he pointed out that Ciara might remember a lot of not-so-good memories.
At the hospital, Ciara flipped out following her hypnosis session and bolted out of her bed. Near the waiting area, Ciara raged at Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) for trying to incinerate her.
As Claire worked to explain how she wasn’t in her right mind at the time, she let something slip about the first fire.
Ciara immediately grew even angrier and insisted couldn’t possibly forgive Claire for trying to kill her twice! When Ben Weston (Robert Scott) tried to comfort Ciara, she pushed him back and yelled for him to get away.
Claire begged Ciara to at least let Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) put her under again for Ben’s sake, but Ciara didn’t want to remember anything more.
Marlena tried to defend the changes in Ben as well – and Ben once again assured Ciara that he’d never hurt her. However, Ciara wasn’t having it.
“There’s not a chance in hell that I could ever love a serial killer!” Ciara shouted. She snarled about how she hated both Claire and Ben before stomping off.
Once Ciara got back in bed, she was overwhelmed and threw her copy of Through the Looking Glass in frustration. Marlena went to Ciara and assured her they wouldn’t try hypnosis again for a while.
Marlena wanted to help Ciara, but Ciara insisted she wanted to be left alone. Marlena didn’t think that was a good idea, so Ciara asked for Marlena’s cell phone and called Theo off screen.
Theo showed up and admitted to Ben that Ciara called him. Moments later, Theo held Ciara close to comfort her – and Ben slipped in her room to see it. He looked heartbroken as Ciara told Theo she never wanted to remember anything about Claire or Ben ever again.
Meanwhile on Wednesday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Claire cried about how this was all her fault. Marlena insisted it wasn’t, but Claire reflected on how hard it’d been to get Ciara to forgive her the first time.
Claire wondered how she was supposed to get Ciara to do it for a second time, too.
In the park, Chanel was willing to drink with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), but she was particular about hygiene and didn’t want to drink out of the bottle. Xander invited Chanel back to his suite since they could enjoy booze in glasses there.
Once they arrived on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Chanel teased Xander about the kilt and learned he was supposed to wear it at his wedding. Xander explained that his fiancée dumped him and that he caught her in bed with her ex-husband.
Chanel felt like Xander should slow down on drinking and suggested she could get some leftovers from her mom’s room.
Xander asked Chanel not to go, but she insisted she’d be gone five minutes tops and thought Xander could use at least a five-minute break from drinking. Xander didn’t want to take a break and kept his pity party going.
Chanel pointed out her own life was basically over and admitted Paulina had cut off her credit cards. “Well, your life’s a bloody tragedy, isn’t it?” Xander said sarcastically. He handed Chanel his wallet and told her “problem solved.”
While Xander was in the bathroom, Chanel looked through the wallet and saw that it was full of cash. She also saw Xander’s old Titan CEO badge and thought maybe her financial problems were over.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) talked to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) about their couples therapy session. Abigail was sorry for complaining about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) the whole time, but she felt the session had helped.
Abigail argued that she’d had an epiphany and knew Chad wouldn’t have betrayed her if it hadn’t been for Gwen’s lies.
Claire couldn’t let Gwen have the satisfaction of destroying her marriage, but Chad pointed out they’d been over this. Fixing their marriage couldn’t just be about Gwen.
After Abigail was summoned by Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), Gwen showed up to see Chad. She acknowledged that Chad didn’t deserve to be used the way she used him. Gwen was apologetic about all her scheming and wanted Chad’s forgiveness.
Chad was wary of Gwen’s angle at first, but he ultimately decided that he accepted her apology. He wasn’t sure if Abigail would do the same, but he felt Abigail knew she could land at the police station every other week with Gwen.
At the Horton house, Jack confessed that he knew about Abigail kidnapping Gwen and trying to drug her in the DiMera tunnels.
Abigail assumed Gwen must be trying to poison Jack against her. Jack argued that Gwen was willing to find a way forward and he hoped Abigail would accept the olive branch.
Once Jack talked about how much he hated Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) at first, he pointed out that his brother became one of his best friends. Jack wasn’t expecting that to happen between Abigail and Gwen, but he pushed Abigail to at least try.
Afterward, Jack called Gwen and offered updates on Abigail deciding she was willing to work things out.
