Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 22, teases that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) will send a mysterious text that sets up Shawn Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) Salem Inn Surprise. Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will also win EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) back after quite a battle, but there’s much more drama to come.
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) wants revenge on Shawn and Belle Brady (Martha Madison), so she’s counting on Jan to do her part. Jan is more than willing to mess with Belle and Shawn, especially since this scheme offers a shot at some steaminess!
At the Salem Inn, Marlena will get Jan settled in a hotel room. They’ll discuss exactly how this plan will go down and leave nothing to chance.
Possessed Marlena has the power to transform both herself and other people. She made Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) look like Jan and left him in her coma bed, so anything is possible here.
Jan will find out she’ll be playing the role of “Belle” for the devil’s next trick. The lookalike transformation is supposed to fool Shawn into cheating on Belle, so Jan will be eager to get started.
At the police station, Belle will make a promise to the husband she adores. She’ll remind Shawn of her love and vow to make time for an anniversary celebration despite all the family drama.
Belle will unknowingly play right into Marlena’s hands since Jan will summon Shawn for a romantic rendezvous.
After Shawn gets a rather cryptic text, he’ll be lured to a room at the Salem Inn. Jan will look identical to Belle when she opens up and immediately tries to seduce Shawn with some sizzling lingerie.
Other Days spoilers say Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will confess the extent of his guilt to Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson).
Lucas already admitted he was behind Sami’s kidnapping, but he’ll feel even worse as he describes drugging Sami, dragging her off to Wisconsin and holding her in that shack for months.
Philip isn’t in the position to judge Lucas, so he’ll mostly be pleased his brother is almost as crazy as him – at least when it comes to love and dangerous schemes.
Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will wind up returning to her room later, so she may initially scold Philip for bringing Lucas in the loop.
However, it’s better for Lucas to know what’s up since he’s family and can join the secret circle. Lucas will assure Kate he has no intention of ratting Philip out for framing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
Now that Kate has talked to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and revoked the document declaring Philip dead, it’s time for the next phase of the plan. Kate wants to get Philip some real help, so she may find some fancy psychiatric facility to send him to.
Philip will need to leave Kate’s room eventually, so Kate may suggest she can distract Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) down in the pub while Philip makes a sneaky exit.
Philip will draw his hoodie up around his head and hustle out while Kate locks lips with Roman nearby.
It’ll be hard for Kate to lie to Roman, but she’ll think it’s the right call under the circumstances. Across town, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) will think they made the right call as well.
Chanel and Johnny got swept up in the romance of Italy, so they just revealed that they’re now husband and wife.
Of course, EJ and Sami will try to talk some sense into Johnny on Wednesday’s DOOL episode. They’ll point out it’s not too late to get an annulment, but Johnny won’t see why he’d do a thing like that.
Chanel will also lash out over Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) criticism, so all the parents involved here will be out of luck. Afterward, Johnny will slip Chanel’s ring on her finger up in his bedroom.
Although Chanel and Johnny will keep the honeymoon phase going strong, they’ll have to prepare for more backlash. Days spoilers say Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will find out about this marriage shocker in the coming episodes, so she’s sure to lash out in a big way.
Back with EJ, he’ll hold the divorce papers above Sami’s head and stop her from ripping them up again. However, EJ may do the ripping honors in the end.
EJ will realize he can’t fight his enduring love for Sami, so he’ll reunite with her despite the pain of her betrayal.
Between Lucas’ secrets and some upcoming devilish trickery, Sami and EJ’s problems are far from over!
