Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Wednesday, February 17, tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will urge Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) to lean on him as she deals with Laura Horton’s (Jaime Lyn Bauer) death.
Abigail and Chad’s marriage is still strained, but Abby will let her guard down anyway since she could really use the support.
Chad will assure Abigail that he’s there for her and will do anything she needs. Of course, what Abigail really needs right now is her grandma back – and she can’t have her thanks to that fatal confrontation with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).
Days spoilers say Abigail will blame Gwen for killing Laura, so she’s bound to be upset with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) for believing it was truly an accident. However, Abigail will put her anger aside as she gathers with the rest of her family to mourn the loss.
Laura’s funeral will get underway, so Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) will be particularly torn up over her mom’s passing. Once the service wraps up, Jennifer will decide to take an extended trip to Boston to grieve on her own.
Wednesday will mark Cady McClain’s last airdate for now, but we’re hearing that she filmed some things in advance that will be shown in the coming weeks – perhaps a phone call or two just so Jennifer can keep in touch.
Whatever the case, Abigail’s rage will come roaring back in the cemetery later. Thursday’s DOOL episode will bring a major faceoff between Abigail and Gwen, so Wednesday’s cliffhanger may set that up.
In the meantime, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will spot some unsettling news on her tablet. It looks like Kate will read up on Laura’s demise and spill to Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) next to her in bed. Kate had her issues with Laura, but she’ll still hate what Abigail and her family are going through right now.
As for Jake, he’ll have his doubts about Laura’s death being accidental. Jake knows Gwen has a hot temper and tends to lie her way out of trouble, so he’ll suspect this may have been a case of murder!
Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will have to deliver another business proposition. Since Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) recently quit his job at Titan, that means Gabi will be working with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) – that is if she can get him on board.
Philip may have a problem with Xander striking this deal behind his back, but Gabi will make a solid pitch once again. Gabi will insist Gabi Chic could take Titan’s business to the next level if Philip trusts her on this.
Although Gabi and “trust” are two words that don’t normally go together, Philip will be willing to mull over Gabi’s proposal.
Over with Xander, he’ll deliver a proposal of his own – one involving an offer of marriage! It seems Xander just won’t be able to contain how much he wants to take the next step with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).
Xander will skip all the frills of a romantic evening and just pop the question in a simple tank top. Similarly, Sarah will be looking all casual in her scrubs when Xander opens the engagement ring box and asks her to be his wife.
Unfortunately, Sarah will try to get Xander’s mind on the Valentine’s Day cake she brought him instead of his marriage plans. It’ll leave Xander disheartened and wondering why Sarah doesn’t want to be his husband.
Sarah will probably just be dealing with some commitment fears based on how Xander’s let her down in the past. Sarah won’t want a repeat of their last ceremony, where she dumped Xander for his role in the baby switch.
Nevertheless, Xander will make it clear that he isn’t giving up on Sarah and their future. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sarah and Xander will already be making wedding plans next week, so her initial marriage concerns won’t last long.
