Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, July 7 Recap – Gabi Declares War on EJ – Sami’s Horrible Nightmare

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 7, reveals that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) declared war on EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) – and Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) had a horrible nightmare. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) also confessed to Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), so here’s how it all played out on Wednesday’s Days episode.

At the townhouse, Brady took a call and heard Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) voice on the other end of the line.

Brady insisted he had nothing to say to her, but he eventually remembered one thing and brought up the photo in her personal effects.

After Brady described the pic with the giant X across Chloe’s face, he suggested it was a reminder of what Kristen was capable of. Brady added that he could never be with Kristen ever again.

Kristen insisted she was so sorry, but Brady ranted about the trouble Chloe landed in because of Kristen – including getting shot and nearly dying. Kristen didn’t think she should be blamed for that part, but Brady disagreed.

Since Kristen could hear it in Brady’s voice that he was in love with Chloe, she wondered what he was waiting for and hoped the two of them lived miserably ever after together.

Meanwhile, Chloe found Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) at Basic Black talking to Duke the bear about how she missed Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).

Chloe offered to be there for Nicole if she needed to talk to a real person, so Nicole took her up on the offer – though she didn’t want to discuss Rafe.

Nicole wanted to prove Sami and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) had an affair, so she thought this was right in Chloe’s wheelhouse.

Chloe wasn’t sure about the affair, but she knew Lucas and Sami were in cahoots. She admitted Sami pushed Lucas to convince her he was dying and try to get Chloe to Antarctica with him.

Nicole determined that Kristen must’ve figured out the affair and blackmailed Sami into helping her.

Chloe grumbled that on top of everything else, Kristen was a blackmailer. Just when Chloe thought she couldn’t despise Kristen more!

Brady walked in and suggested he knew exactly where Chloe was coming from on that. After Brady offered updates on Kristen’s phone call, Nicole took off.

Brady gently scolded Chloe for being back at work already before talk turned to Kristen’s personal effects.

Brady brought up the mutilated photo and confessed that he kept it to remind himself of who Kristen really is. Chloe felt it was important for her to see it and face what happened, so she convinced Brady to show her the pic.

“How could I have loved a woman who could do something like that?” Brady asked.

Brady felt he got some clarity from talking to Kristen – not just about her, but about Chloe and what he wanted. Brady insisted all he wanted was to be with Chloe.

At Rafe’s place, Jake appeared and mentioned getting some coffee from the kitchen. “What the hell are you doing here?” a confused Rafe asked.

Jake realized Gabi didn’t tell Rafe they moved in last night. Gabi waltzed in and admitted she should’ve texted Rafe, but he wanted to know why they weren’t living in the mansion.

Once Gabi explained that Jake had an issue with his brothers – particularly EJ – she got a call about some mail she needed to pick up.

While Gabi headed back to the DiMera mansion, Rafe admitted he had a problem with Jake because of how he treated Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow).

Jake knew he was lousy to Kate, but he assured Rafe that they were happy for a while. Jake added that he really was going to tell Kate the truth about Gabi until she faked her blindness and amnesia.

Rafe wondered if Rafe had never been with someone he passionately cared about while he couldn’t stop thinking about someone else. Rafe seemed to understand that due to his own situation.

The conversation shifted back to EJ on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, so Rafe confessed he didn’t like the guy either. He just wanted to make sure Gabi didn’t get dragged into whatever crossfire Jake and EJ might create.

At the pub, Kate was grateful Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) was letting her stay in the extra room there.

Lucas ranted about Kate tricking her family into thinking she was blind, but Kate argued that she couldn’t tell Lucas because he had no poker face – and Roman piped up to agree.

Later, Roman admitted he was concerned since Kate was still determined to get payback on Jake through her work at DiMera Enterprises.

Roman then acknowledged that he’d overstepped as a bartender, but Kate pointed out he said it as a friend.

Back with Nicole, she ran into Lucas and brought up the fake brain tumor Chloe told her about. Nicole was eager to get answers she’d figured out Kristen knew about Sami sleeping with Lucas.

In bed, Sami woke up in a panic after a nightmare. She told EJ that she had his medicine in her bad dream and couldn’t get to him.

EJ had a breakfast tray for Sami and scolded himself for thinking little things like that could make up for everything he put Sami through. He knew he couldn’t snap his fingers and erase the last four years.

EJ knew that Sami had every right to slam the door in his face the moment he showed up, but she didn’t.

Since Sami was patient with EJ while he healed, he was willing to be patient with her, too. EJ promised he’d wait for her – no matter how long it took.

After EJ declared his love, Sami kissed him passionately and initiated lovemaking. Once the deed was done, EJ had a feeling they were back on track as a couple. He knew they would be happier and stronger than ever.

Later, EJ and Sami were getting all lovey-dovey on the sofa when Gabi appeared and wanted to shield her eyes. Gabi ranted about EJ and asked Sami what it was like down there at the bottom of the barrel.

Gabi intended to make EJ pay for his treatment of Jake by grinding DiMera Enterprises into dust with Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) help.

Once Gabi stormed out, Sami followed her to offer a warning. Gabi called EJ an egotistical, power-hungry jerk, but Sami pointed out that Gabi just threw down the gauntlet.

Sami argued that Gabi couldn’t go around making enemies of DiMeras. “Have you learned nothing?!” Sami asked.

Back with EJ on Wednesday’s Days episode, he got a phone call from Kristen and expressed surprise. Kristen wanted to know if EJ got the letter she sent. She said there was no return address, but she assured EJ it wasn’t junk mail.

EJ wasn’t in the mood for Kristen’s games, but Sami returned and ripped the phone out of his hands. She hung up on Kristen to shut down the conversation.

Sami argued that EJ couldn’t talk to Kristen since he’d be aiding and abetting a fugitive. EJ insisted Kristen was his sister and pointed out Kristen could’ve been trying to turn herself in.

“Was she?” Sami asked. EJ admitted Kristen wasn’t – that she was trying to tell him about a letter she sent. Sami was confused and wanted details on this letter.

Once Gabi returned to Rafe’s place, she pulled a letter out of her purse and realized she’d mistakenly picked up one addressed to EJ. Jake smiled and laughed – seemingly interested in finding out what was inside.
