Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 24, reveals that Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) flirted ahead of the twins’ christening ceremony.
Abe Carver (James Reynolds) joined Lani and Eli as they discussed how important it was to set Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) straight on who Jules Grant’s true godmother was.
Lani admitted Valerie Grant (Vanessa A. Williams) was handling it, so Abe appreciated Valerie taking one for the team. Meanwhile, Valerie showed up at Paulina’s suite and prepared to deliver the bad news.
Paulina offered Valerie a “fairy godmother” shirt before revealing she was wearing one as well. She was glad to know Jules and Carver Grant would have two wealthy godmothers to take care of them.
Paulina found out Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) wasn’t happy about Paulina sliding in the godmother spot, so she ranted about how Jules was already named after Julie. Paulina argued that for some women, it was never enough!
Valerie insisted that Lani and Eli actually wanted Julie to be Jules’ godmother, so a stunned Paulina took a moment to process it and then seemed hurt.
Although Valerie wanted to ride to the christening together, Paulina argued that she was too humiliated and would be skipping the ceremony.
Later, Valerie joined Lani, Eli and Abe at the church. She gave them updates on how mortified Paulina was about her wrong assumption and advised Lani to give Valerie some time.
At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) dreamed about Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) visiting and saying he’d never hurt her.
Once Ciara woke up startled, she got a visit from Julie and Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). Ciara was confused about Ben showing up to see her and found it disturbing since he was a serial killer.
However, Julie and Doug pointed out that Ben had a lot of medical care and was reformed. Ciara still thought something seemed off about Ben – delusional even. She didn’t get why Ben would think he loved her when they barely knew each other.
Doug suggested there was an explanation, but Julie stopped him from spilling and said they shouldn’t talk about anything upsetting.
In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) saw Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson), who filled her in on the upcoming christening and explained the bouquet in his hands was for Ciara.
Claire told Theo about Ciara’s selective amnesia and how much Ciara hates her now.
Theo found out that Ciara couldn’t remember anything after her motorcycle crash, so Theo realized he needed to play along when he saw her. Back in Ciara’s room, she was thrilled when Theo brought her favorite flowers.
Theo mentioned that he was going to the christening for his sister’s twins and that he was his niece’s godfather.
Ciara remembered that Lani was pregnant – obviously thinking it was the first time Lani was expecting – but she didn’t know it was twins and suggested that must’ve been a nice surprise.
Theo was thrown, but he went along with it. Ciara talked about how she hadn’t changed much since they were kids; she laughed over still getting into messes and hurting herself.
Talk turned to Claire, so Ciara admitted she was furious with her. She pointed out that Claire would’ve slept with Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) if she hadn’t shown up. Ciara was also angry about Claire hiding the letter she wrote Theo, but he wondered if maybe Ciara could give Claire one more chance.
Ciara smiled over Theo always seeing the best in people, even when they don’t deserve it. Ciara promised to consider what Theo told her, but only if he came back to visit her again. Theo grinned and suggested it was a deal.
Before Theo left, Ciara stopped him and hoped he knew how much it meant seeing him again. Theo assured Ciara that he felt the same way.
At the church again on Wednesday’s Days episode, the christening was about to begin. Julie found out that everything had been cleared up and that the godmother position was still hers if she wanted it.
An ecstatic Julie accepted before Paulina showed up and declared she had something to say. Everyone was on edge, but Paulina just wanted to share how sorry she was for nearly ruining a special day.
Julie noted that families have misunderstandings sometimes – and that they’re all family now. Paulina gave Julie the fairy godmother shirt and was touched when Lani insisted they still wanted her to be an important part of their children’s lives.
Once it was all squared away, Abe declared that they should get these babies christened.
At Ben’s place, he opened up to Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) about Ciara being unable to remember their love story. Jake suggested maybe using Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) memory serum, but Ben thought Jake was out of his “freaking mind.”
Ben pointed out that it wasn’t exactly FDA approved and that Will Horton (Chandler Massey) had to take the stuff on the sly.
Although Ben didn’t want to pressure Ciara, Jake insisted that Ciara was crazy about Ben. Jake didn’t care what kind of tricks Ciara’s mind was playing now or what her doctors said. He felt like Ben himself could jog Ciara’s memory.
“If there’s a magic memory drug, that’s you pal,” Jake said to Ben. He grabbed Ben and pushed him to fight for his wife.
Back in Ciara’s hospital room on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, she freaked when Ben showed up and greeted her by name. Ciara threatened to scream, so Ben invited her to go right ahead. He insisted he wasn’t going anywhere until Ciara heard what he had to say.
