Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of January 3-7 tease that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) will face horror while Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) leave Salem. Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will also help Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) find Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), though tracing her location will come with some challenges.
For starters, Nicole will make an alarming discovery that should lead to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) facing accusations.
Ava’s set to cut Duke the teddy bear’s head off, so she should leave the decapitated little cowboy lying around for Nicole to find!
That’ll be disturbing to say the least and will spark concerns about vengeful Ava’s mental state, but it looks like she’ll play dumb when Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) confronts her.
As for Nicole’s love life, she’ll have an icy response when EJ tries to make amends.
Nicole will feel like EJ was awfully quick to throw her away for Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and only wants her back because Sami’s no longer an option.
All of that will be true, but EJ will be remorseful and will truly hope Nicole’s willing to give him another chance.
While Nicole mulls that decision over, Sami will be busy planning a new life with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). She’ll want to leave town together and work on their relationship far away from Salem.
Lucas should get on board, though he might have to take care of a few things before he joins Sami on their renewed love journey.
Over with Xander, he’ll quiz Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) about the last time he talked to Sarah and try to piece together what might’ve happened to her.
As a favor to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), Days spoilers say Abigail will also pitch in on trying to track Sarah down.
That’ll lead to a strange alliance between Xander and Abigail as they work to bring Sarah home where she belongs.
Of course, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) is going to freak over Abigail’s part in all this and will ultimately accuse her of trying to destroy her romance with Xander.
DOOL fans will also see Jack make peace with Xander soon, which should mean he’ll make peace with Gwen, too.
It’ll come in the nick of time since Jack will accompany Jennifer back to Boston, where they may plan to stay for the foreseeable future.
Next, Days spoilers say Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will demand the truth from Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
Kate will eventually pry it out of Chad that he helped Lucas set EJ up, but she’ll actually support this and fuel Chad’s sinister side.
Marlena will enjoy being back to her old self for a small New Year’s Eve gathering with John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
When Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) later asks Steve to search for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Kayla won’t let her husband do it alone.
Johnny will also bring John and Marlena up to speed on his new marriage to Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens), but that marriage is poised to take a major hit.
After Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) patches up with Chanel and Johnny, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will join them for a New Year’s Eve celebration.
That’ll serve as the calm before the storm since Johnny’s on the verge of making a shocking announcement.
Johnny may get Marlena’s approval on making the possession film after all, so that could bring a disagreement with Chanel and get the ball rolling on some serious relationship problems.
Back with Marlena, she’ll be surprised when Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) shows up with another eerie premonition – perhaps about the devil’s power lingering in Salem.
Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) will also deliver an invitation to Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and try to ease the tension between them.
Finally, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) will make a return visit from Europe, so they’ll get caught up in some DiMera family drama soon enough.
