General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the ABC soap will take a deep dive into who Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is and what makes her tick. GH fans know Alexis has been going through a major crisis over the past few months.
Alexis has spiraled out of control and desperately needs a wakeup call to get her life back on track.
You’d think that accidentally jabbing Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) with a loaded syringe and nearly killing him would do the trick. Alas, Alexis is still struggling to accept or even want help.
General Hospital spoilers say Alexis will once again sneak a drink ahead of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) funeral.
Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will bust her mom and perhaps realize that things are even worse than she feared.
Alexis can’t even support Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) at her dad’s memorial service without taking a swig of alcohol to get her through it. It’s clear that Alexis’ addiction is running the show – and that’s no way to live!
Fortunately, GH writers aren’t just going to slap a bandage on Alexis’ problems and move on. General Hospital spoilers say Alexis will land in Pentonville, which should hopefully give her that wakeup call we mentioned.
Alexis will have a chance to truly sober up, but she’ll have to dig even deeper if she wants to get to the root of her issues.
If you’re worried this is some sort of temporary exit strategy for Alexis, you shouldn’t be. On the contrary! If you’ve been hoping for a story with more depth for Alexis, this is one you should enjoy.
Alexis will still be seen in prison, where she’ll have flashbacks from her childhood that feature a younger version of herself.
General Hospital spoilers say Alexis will also get a cellmate to interact with – one we can probably assume will be loudmouthed and nosy as most soapy cellmates tend to be!
The show’s also casting a prison advisor named Irene, so they’re really going all out for Alexis’ hot plot in prison.
Could this kick off a new Cassadine storyline that ties in with some GH history?
Time will tell, but Alexis will have an opportunity to figure out what her real problems are and hopefully find a way to conquer them. We’ll pass along updates as other news becomes available.
