General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Austin (Roger Howarth) will corner Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about the Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wing at GH, so will this lead to him finally revealing his true Quartermaine connection? It seems obvious that Austin has one, so let’s talk about how this might go down.
Fans watched as Austin gazed at a sign at the hospital – one that he seemed pensive about. It was for the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries, so that was clue number one.
We also saw Austin keeping up with the latest ELQ news on his phone, so he was curious about Michael possibly being reinstated as CEO.
General Hospital spoilers also confirm that Austin is tied to a significant family in Port Charles, so we’d say it’s the Quartermaine clan.
There’s no need for another Corinthos, so it seems like they’ll be adding to the Q brood instead and focusing on Austin’s shared Quartermaine link with Michael.
Of course, the show still hasn’t revealed exactly how Austin fits in and why he’s been living as an outsider.
The real reason may be that Austin is a newly invented Quartermaine who’s being brought in for drama’s sake now. However, Austin must have his reasons for keeping his distance all this time.
Whether Austin is the son of illegitimate Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond) or perhaps a long-lost sibling of AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), there’ll surely be some way to connect the dots.
Whatever the case, Carly should be surprised when Austin approaches her and brings up something so random on July 12. Carly may wonder why Austin cares about the wing named after Michael and who Michael is to him.
Austin could drop a bomb on Carly and the audience if he reveals his Quartermaine connection right then and there. That’d be one way to deliver the shocker, but the show might let the suspense build a little more instead.
It’s possible Austin will simply raise Carly’s suspicions and offer a few more hints ahead of his eventual identity revelation.
