General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) could face a parole hearing surprise since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is set to make a bold move on this big day. Let’s consider the events leading up to this hearing along with the GH shockers that might play out later.
During the week of December 6-10, Selina Wu will contact Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) with a goal in mind. Like Ms. Nina Wu (Lydia Look), Selina will want to give Brad the best chance of getting out of prison.
Although Brad was adopted, his birth family is still looking out for him and rooting for him to gain freedom. Since Britt is a respected doctor in the community and shares the chief of staff role at the hospital, she’s the ideal person to speak up on behalf of Brad at the hearing – especially since they’re such good friends.
Selina will reach out to Britt and most likely ask for her help, so Britt may promise to do whatever she can. Britt could certainly use her favorite pal on the outside right about now since she’s crushed under the weight of her grief and guilt. The loss of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has hit Britt hard, so she’ll hope for a positive outcome here.
As for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he’s not thrilled about the idea of the baby-stealer getting an early release from Pentonville. Nevertheless, Sonny owes Ms. Wu a favor and has promised not to intervene one way or the other. If Brad earns early parole fair and square, then Sonny can live with that.
Of course, Sonny isn’t going to prevent Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) from having his say at the hearing either. Michael plans to speak out against Brad’s premature release and push for him to serve the full sentence for his crime.
Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will also attend Brad’s parole hearing with Michael, so she may take this opportunity to speak her mind as well. There should be some strong opinions on both sides about whether Brad could walk free, but Sonny could be gearing up for a bombshell.
Brad’s parole hearing will play out on December 14 – and that same day, Sonny will make a surprising gesture. Could this new-and-improved Sonny show mercy? Will Sonny’s “Mike” side come out and lead to him pulling strings for Brad after all?
Sonny could at least make some display of support that upsets Michael and causes more Corinthos family conflict. Whatever the case, Brad will ultimately become a free man once again – and you can bet Michael won’t be happy about it! As other GH news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
