General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will refuse to make a promise to appease Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). After Liz confronts Jason about the agreement he made with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), she’ll insist the deadly deal is off.
Elizabeth will think it’s outrageous that Jason would go along with the idea in the first place.
However, Liz will find herself even more frustrated after Jason refuses to back down. Jason will assure Elizabeth that he’s not looking to kill Franco, but the safety of Liz, her boys and everyone else in Port Charles has to be his priority.
Of course, Jason will undoubtedly worry about protecting Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) and Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri). If Franco were to return to the dark side, Jason couldn’t just let Franco run amok and cause harm to the people he loves.
Now that General Hospital writers have introduced the idea of Jason trying to kill Franco, it’s hard to imagine they’ll ditch it. What would be the point? It just doesn’t seem likely that everything will remain fine and Jason will never be tempted to pull the trigger. This story has to be going somewhere.
That’s especially true since Jason will refuse to promise Liz that he won’t kill Franco. GH writers are reinforcing this idea that if Jason feels he must commit Franco’s murder, then he will.
Naturally, it’s doubtful the show will actually kill Franco off, but it does present the strong possibility of a showdown where Jason holds Franco at gunpoint.
It’s not a matter of whether Jason will try to kill Franco; it’s a matter of who’ll stop him! Elizabeth is an option since she’s causing a fuss, but that might be a bit too predictable. There’s not as much drama if Liz once again demands that Jason stand down.
Instead, what if it’s Cameron Webber (William Lipton) who finds out about this deal and decides to take matters into his own hands? General Hospital has really been playing up Cam and Franco’s bond lately.
It’s clear that Cameron’s deeply concerned about Franco and wants him to stick around for the “Friz” family.
There’s been some buzz about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) making it look like Franco’s tumor has made him dangerous again. If that’s how this plays out, then Franco could indeed have a deadly target on his back. Jason may grab his weapon and plan to end Franco’s life once and for all.
If Cameron figures out what’s going on, there’s no way he’ll let Jason murder Franco. GH fans know Franco saved Cam from a forced memory-mapping procedure, but now Cam might save Franco from Jason’s gun.
That could be why the GH writing team is working overtime to make sure viewers know Franco and Cam are best buds.
If Cameron gets shot by mistake or even just has a brush with danger, Elizabeth will be even angrier than before! Bottom line, this whole “I’ll kill Franco if I have to” thing will inevitably lead to a faceoff. Since Franco will need someone to stop Jason, it might be Cameron who steps up.
