General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) life will spin out over his dad’s secret confession. It looks like Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will spill all after facing a terrifying ultimatum, so there’ll be a lot on the line for both of them.
GH fans know Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has been trying to cut through Curtis’ tough guy exterior.
Deep down, Portia can tell Curtis would like to open his heart to Marshall and build a relationship with him.
Although Marshall can’t change the past, he at least wants a chance to focus on the future and have a real family – including Curtis.
The problem is Curtis doesn’t feel like he can trust or even get to know Marshall.
Every time Curtis brings up the topic of his father’s history, Marshall manages to shut him down with vague excuses.
Curtis needs real answers before he can even consider letting his guard down and truly bonding with Marshall.
Since Marshall refuses to divulge the truth, Curtis will carry out a search for info with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) backing him up.
However, any clues Drew and Curtis find won’t be enough.
Curtis is ultimately going to confront Marshall with whatever intel he can gather, but he’ll need to hear Marshall’s side of the story straight from him.
GH viewers can expect a fierce faceoff and a major ultimatum on Curtis’ side of things.
Curtis will warn Marshall to make a full confession – and it sounds like it’ll be now or never.
Since Curtis will be so fed up with his father’s games, he’ll feel like this is the time to come clean and work through whatever issues they need to work through.
Curtis may acknowledge that he’s willing to reconnect depending on what gets spilled, but his dad will have to meet him halfway.
If Marshall can’t do that, then Curtis will feel like cutting ties completely is the only option. It’ll mean saying goodbye forever, which certainly isn’t what Marshall wants.
We know Curtis’ mom was in on Marshall’s death lie – and so was Stella Henry (Vernee Watson).
There have also been some hints about mob danger, but Marshall has other secrets that’ll ultimately be revealed.
It’s just a matter of making Marshall see that confessing is the only way he’s going to have a breakthrough with his son.
Naturally, there’ll be a new hurdle if Curtis doesn’t like the answers he gets – and you can bet he won’t!
Then, the story will become about forgiveness and whether that’s possible after decades of deception.
Curtis will be overwhelmed by all the revelations and changes that are in store for him.
The situation with Marshall could take a bigger toll on Curtis and Portia’s relationship than they realize, so trouble is brewing in more ways than one.
