General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) could be in a position to do some serious damage. GH fans know Cyrus was furious over Jackie Templeton’s (Kim Delaney) latest article, which he insisted was more like libel.
Cyrus also argued that Jackie was an accessory to kidnapping since she talked to his mother, but she was adamant that Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) never gave any indication that she was being held against her will.
Although Cyrus worked to get answers about where his mother is, Jackie wouldn’t offer up that information.
Nevertheless, Cyrus has assured Jackie that they’re not done. What might Cyrus do in retaliation? Jackie thinks she’s so smooth, but she seems a little too overconfident considering who she’s dealing with.
Cyrus is a real threat to practically everyone in Port Charles – at least in one way or another.
It’s clear that Cyrus is a powerful man to be feared, but Jackie is underestimating him and that could come back to bite her. On the February 26 episode, Cyrus stood nearby looking angry and intrigued as Jackie argued with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
It’s tough to say if Cyrus could really hear what they were bickering about from that distance, but it’s possible – or Cyrus could at least do some investigating until he finds out.
Regardless, there’s surely a reason why GH writers had Cyrus unleash his fury on Jackie right before witnessing her confrontation with Finn.
Jackie talked Finn into not picking up the DNA results from the lab, which means those results are right there waiting for Cyrus to get his hands on. There are a few options that General Hospital could go with here.
It shouldn’t be that hard for a smart guy like Cyrus to piece together that Finn has run a DNA test to see if his brother is actually his son. Cyrus might talk to a lab tech and gather enough info from the similarities in the DNA to figure that out.
Since Cyrus runs the show at GH and can do whatever he wants, he could alter those results to blow up Jackie’s world. If the results show Finn is Chase’s brother after all, Cyrus could make sure they “confirm” a father-son match instead.
On the other hand, maybe the results legitimately confirm a father-son match. In that case, Cyrus could simply expose the truth and cause just as much destruction.
A third option might be to hold the results over Jackie’s head and try to blackmail her into providing Florence location info. However, if GH writers take that route, it won’t play out for very long since this paternity drama’s going to explode soon.
During the week of March 8-12, Chase will see something he’s not meant to see – presumably the DNA test results. Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will also corner Jackie and demand answers, so we’re gearing up for a big reveal.
Could Cyrus set that in motion? Will Cyrus make a mess for revenge on Jackie?
