General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) may order pregnant Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) kidnapping and force Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) dire search for this mom and her baby. Let’s look at the facts and try to figure out where this hot plot might be headed.
For starters, GH highlighted Cyrus’ obsession with Sasha shortly before he exited the canvas. There was even confusion on Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) part when she thought Cyrus was going to be a father and congratulated him.
Of course, the show also offered a line about how Cyrus always wanted kids and how he guessed it wasn’t going to happen for him now.
Cyrus has had plenty of time to sit behind bars and become even more infatuated with Sasha, so what’s to stop him from going after her and making a move for this baby?
Cyrus may not be on screen right now, but he’s definitely becoming part of the story again.
Cyrus put out a contract on Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), which forced them both to go into hiding.
Cyrus hasn’t forgotten about his grudges and will continue to make decisions in prison that affect the outside world.
During the week of August 30-September 3, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will battle concerns about Cyrus forming an alliance with one of the five families.
Whether that’s the Novaks or another dangerous mob fam, Carly’s suspicions should be spot-on. She’ll end up turning to Brando for help with something later, so that could tie in with this Cyrus drama.
As for Sasha, she’ll face a huge shocker while Brando’s preoccupied. We’ll see Gladys worry about Brando tackling too much in the aftermath, so what does that mean?
Sasha’s shocker might involve getting snatched and held hostage somewhere. Brando could easily work night and day trying to find Sasha – leading Gladys to fret over her son’s exhaustion.
Sofia Mattsson gave birth to her real-life son on July 26, so the writers surely had to come up with some maternity leave exit. Once it airs, will it be connected to Cyrus and a kidnapping scheme?
Cyrus might plan to escape and perhaps get his hands on Sasha’s child down the road.
In the meantime, Cyrus could send one of the Novaks or another ally of his to snatch pregnant Sasha. She might be held captive while Brando kicks off a desperate hunt for his “baby mama.”
