General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is still programmed to “complete the mission,” so he remains a dangerous loose cannon. GH fans know Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) came close to triggering Dante with the click of her pen at the wedding ceremony.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) came forward to tell Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) the truth before Liesl had a chance, so what now?
General Hospital has been setting up this “complete the mission” angle for several months – going all the way back to when Dante was at that WSB facility in Geneva, Switzerland.
It’d be weird and a huge letdown if nothing ever came of this pen-clicking peril. After all, there have been plenty of hints about the threat Dante poses in this state.
Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones) warned Liesl early on that innocent people could get caught in the mission fallout – and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been concerned about Dante’s mental state as well.
Since Dante remains programmed, the danger isn’t going away until he’s deprogrammed or completes the mission as he’s been essentially brainwashed to do. We could still see Dante have a reaction to someone’s pen click that ends in disaster.
If Peter somehow manages to get off the hook for his crimes, Dante could end up going after him. Perhaps if Peter survives and sticks around, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for GH to at least make him suffer through a painful hospital ordeal.
It might be a way to stir up some sympathy if General Hospital intends to keep Peter instead of writing him out.
On the other hand, Dante could spark a fatal exit for Peter if that’s what GH writers have in mind. Regardless, the threat to other people is perhaps the most troubling.
There are so many ways Dante’s mission completion could go wrong, so another Port Charles resident or two could land in a life-threatening situation.
Bottom line, Dante is dangerously unpredictable in this programmed state. It’s hard to believe General Hospital would just drop such a significant part of the story, so Dante’s programming could still lead to some chaos in PC. As other GH news emerges, we’ll deliver updates.
General Hospital spoilers say Dante may make some risky moves through no fault of his own, so stay tuned. CDL will have lots of other great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so make us your hotspot.
