General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (soon-to-be Cameron Mathison) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will get a new chance to bond as brothers. Cameron Mathison’s debut will bring a fresh start for the twins, so this could serve as an opportunity to form a real sibling connection.
There was tension between Drew and Jason when Jason first returned to Port Charles after his time in Russia. Of course, that was understandable considering Drew was memory-mapped into believing he was Jason!
It was hard for Drew to wrap his head around the fact that he wasn’t the true Jason Morgan.
However, Drew ultimately found a new path as himself and will continue to find one once he returns. GH fans know Drew was presumed dead in a plane crash, but he was actually pulled from the ocean and has been held hostage according to a leaked script.
That means Drew is alive and will eventually shock Port Charles with his dramatic reappearance.
It’ll be great to see all the reactions as Cameron Mathison takes over the role from Billy Miller and kicks off this new chapter. You can bet Drew’s going to make some serious waves once he resurfaces!
Drew and Jason certainly weren’t close before Drew’s tragic exit, but Oscar Nero’s (Garren Stitt) death did bring them together in some ways.
Jason has also stepped up in Drew’s absence by serving as a father figure to Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri), so that’s something Drew may thank him for when he gets back.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) struggled to connect as brothers initially, but now they’re extremely close.
We’ve seen that Jason has the ability to be close to members of the Corinthos clan, so he could grow closer to Drew, too.
Bottom line, it’d be nice to see Drew and Jason explore a relationship as brothers as part of Drew’s complicated return. We’ll fill you in as other GH news and updates emerge.
