General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap alum, Emme Rylan, is back in Los Angeles – and that could be a good sign about Lulu Spencer’s return to the show. GH fans know Emme Rylan was fired from her role as Lulu Spencer last fall, which led to Lulu abruptly being written out.
After an explosion at The Floating Rib, injured Lulu ultimately fell into a coma and was sent to a long-term care facility.
On Instagram, Rylan recently posted about returning to LA and dropping her kids off at school for the first time in a year. She seems excited to get back to a more normal routine now that her epic road trip following her firing has wrapped up.
Could getting back to work at General Hospital be part of the plan? Is Lulu Spencer returning to GH? Of course, the fact that the writers didn’t kill Lulu off says they want her back eventually.
They just took Lulu out of the picture for a while, but she’ll inevitably return when the time is right.
Now that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is growing closer to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), we could be well on our way to that right time! Once Sam and Dante enter a full-blown relationship, that seems like the perfect moment for Lulu to awaken and make this a messy love triangle.
Many GH fans just aren’t feeling the chemistry when it comes to Dante and Sam. They also share siblings, so it’s just a weird pairing in some ways. As far as the storyline goes, Dante and Lulu’s enduring love story seems like the more appealing one.
If Lulu wakes up from her coma, it’d give Dante another chance with his true love. It’d also give Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) their mom back, so this would be excellent news all around.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has been doing her best to stay strong and positive about Lulu’s outcome, so GH viewers are rooting for a mother-daughter reunion.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will also need her bestie more than ever after all the Peter August (Wes Ramsey) chaos winds down, especially after Baby Lou is born.
There are plenty of great reasons to bring Lulu back in the coming months – and Rylan’s return to LA could make that a more likely possibility.
Whether Lulu’s GH return is in the works yet or not, Rylan has expressed interest in returning and is back in town. Those are both good signs as we await updates on what the future holds for Lulu.
