General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) may help Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) steal his freedom. Will Esme become this serial killer’s protégé and unleash chaos on Port Charles? Let’s discuss what we know so far and then consider some fall preview info.
Esme took an interest in Ryan during her recent visit to Spring Ridge, where she knew more about his locked-in syndrome than she let on.
Ryan’s reaction to Esme was interesting since he seemed welcoming at first, but he repeatedly blinked for her to go after she mentioned the idea of volunteering at the facility.
Of course, it might be a situation where Ryan fears Esme will somehow spoil his scheme.
Ryan isn’t really locked in, so he may not want some pesky teenager around to ruin what he’s got cooking. It seems likely Ryan is plotting an escape, so he may think Esme will just mess things up for him.
However, Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) clearly got a bad vibe and warned Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about Esme being trouble.
The show’s indeed positioning Esme as a troublemaker, which lines up with GH fall preview info about her fixation on a certain PC resident putting everybody at risk.
Naturally, that’s referring to Esme’s obsession with Ryan – and it sounds like she may help him escape if everyone’s going to be at risk.
Whether Esme follows through on her volunteer plan or just starts coming for frequent visits, she might be able to befriend Ryan and convince him she’s a big fan of his fatal work.
Esme may urge Ryan to level with her about faking his locked-in syndrome and argue that she can help break him out.
If Esme was willing to torch Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) car and plant the fake badge of dead Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin), we can buy that she’d unleash a serial killer on the town to up the ante.
That’s especially true since Ava may end up sticking around after all or at least could return once the real stalker story is proven. Esme might hope that Ryan’s getaway will take care of Ava permanently.
Whatever the case, Esme is way too interested in a man who’s committed multiple murders!
Nothing good can come of this – particularly when Ryan’s faking his condition and could walk right out of the minimum-security correctional facility if given the chance by Esme.
