General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that we’ll see Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) camping trip surprise, so sparks will fly during this getaway in the woods. Finn normally isn’t an outdoorsy type of guy, but he’ll have a good reason to get in touch with nature soon enough.
During the week of August 23-27, Finn will react to a surprise gift – one he considers to be quite delightful.
Since we know this camping trip is coming up during the week of August 30-September 3, it sounds like Finn will receive the invitation the week before along with Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) adorable plea.
Finn would do almost anything for his little girl, even if it means roughing it in the woods for a couple days.
Plus, Violet lost her grandma, Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham), recently and deserves to have a little fun.
Assuming Finn and Liz have filled Violet in off screen by now, it had to be confusing for Violet to see her grandmother out of the blue one minute and learn she was gone forever the next.
Of course, it’s also possible this trip will be used as a way to soften the blow if Finn’s been holding off on telling Violet the truth.
Regardless, Liz vowed to help and will continue to be there for Finn as well as his daughter.
This camping trip sounds like it could be something that’s fun for both Finn and Liz’s families.
Liz may take her sons along – or at least Jake Webber (Hudson West) and Aiden Webber (Jason David).
Even if the boys are just off screen playing in the nearby lake, it seems like they might be included here – especially if this trip involves Violet as expected.
However, there’ll be some opportunities for Liz and Finn to bond alone. Once the kids are asleep, there’ll definitely be some deep conversations and some flying sparks.
This will be a chance for Finn and Liz to connect without worrying too much about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) for once.
So much of this budding GH relationship has been tied to concerns about Peter, but these scenes will allow Liz and Finn to bond in a less stressful way.
There are always going to be fears as long as Peter’s still out there somewhere, but Finn and Liz may let their guard down on this trip as they concentrate on each other.
This seems like the ideal moment for a first kiss to seal the transition from friends to lovers or whatever they want to call themselves next.
