General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that things may not be as they seem when it comes to the paternity test that proved Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) biological father. Chase was both devastated and furious when he got the confirmation that his brother is actually his dad.
This bombshell has turned Chase’s world upside down and has forced him to reevaluate his relationships. Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will always be Chase’s father in the ways that count, but Chase knows this could change things between them – and that’s definitely not what he wants.
Likewise, General Hospital has completely destroyed Finn and Chase’s brotherly bond. Chase will never accept Finn as his father, so what’s the point in sticking with this outcome long-term? A better idea would be to let the drama play out and then reveal the results weren’t legit – that Finn is NOT Chase’s father!
On March 19, Finn will tell Chase that he’d like to run the paternity test again. Why is that? Will Finn want to be sure there wasn’t a mistake, especially since Gregory’s DNA would be such a close match to Finn’s?
That’s one way that GH could undo this paternity shocker, but we can think of another one – perhaps one that hasn’t even crossed Finn’s mind yet.
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) flew off the handle after Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) published that article about Florence Grey (Annie Abbott). Jackie stood her ground with Cyrus, which only added to his fury.
Cyrus insisted this wasn’t over – and soon after his outburst, he witnessed a tense exchange between Jackie and Finn over the DNA results. General Hospital left it unclear how much Cyrus was able to hear from that distance, but he was obviously intrigued by the confrontation.
Finn also made a point to mention that he’d leave the DNA results in the lab. Those results were just sitting there waiting to be tampered with during the double wedding chaos. Why include the delay if it wasn’t going to lead somewhere?
Finn could’ve just as easily picked up the results and not opened them. Instead, GH writers wanted the results to stay put – potentially opening the door for Cyrus to investigate and figure all this out.
Cyrus is a smart guy who runs the show at GH, so it’s easy to imagine him using this as a revenge tactic against Jackie. Maybe Cyrus is sitting back and enjoying mayhem of it all as we speak.
Will some paternity test tampering ultimately be revealed – and is Cyrus to blame? It’ll be interesting to see what this second DNA test shows if Finn goes through with it. That could set up Finn’s realization that the first results were altered. We’ll keep you in the loop as other GH news and updates emerge.
