General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is really feeling the pressure lately. Finn’s got a double wedding coming up, and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has turned into bridezilla and is calling the shots for Finn and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Then, on top of that stress, Finn is apparently thinking about coming clean with his father about some painful history.
As GH viewers know, Finn slept with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) on the eve of her wedding to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), and even though Jackie says that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is Gregory’s son, there’s always the possibility that Chase was fathered by Finn instead.
Now, previously, Finn hasn’t wanted to open this can of worms under any circumstances. But on a recent episode, Finn was talking with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and he suggested that he was thinking about coming clean about some big family secrets, and that can only mean one thing – that Finn is considering telling his father about his tryst with Jackie.
Of course, if that secret comes out, then it won’t be long before Gregory and Chase are going to realize that there’s a chance that Finn could be Chase’s father. And even though Jackie claims that Chase is Gregory’s son, that could simply be wishful thinking on her part.
Interestingly, Finn said something else during his conversation with Tracy that was telling. He said that the bond he has with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) is of supreme importance to him, and that suggests a couple of things.
First, Finn might be feeling like he needs to come clean and set the record straight to be a good role model for Violet.
And second, Finn might be thinking about Chase, and the bond that they could have if it does turn out that Chase is his biological son.
In fact, the more that Finn thinks about it, the more he may want a father and son type bond with Chase, but that would be dependent on whether Chase wants to have that type of bond with Finn after hearing Finn’s confession.
Let’s face it, if and when Finn does spill the truth and Chase realizes that he could be Finn’s son, Chase probably won’t be feeling happy about that. Chase is probably going to feel very deceived and horrified by the whole turn of events.
Even if Finn dreams of a close father and son bond with Chase, it would probably be a long time before Chase is willing to go there.
It will be interesting to see what happens, but timing will be key here. Anna and Finn’s wedding is rapidly approaching, and if Finn wants to spill his story, then he’d better get around to it soon, because everyone’s going to need some time to process the big revelation before they all gather civilly for a wedding!
