General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death will bring some difficult moments for the family he leaves behind. GH fans heard Franco whisper some final loving words to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) – and she’ll no doubt pass along the ones he shared for her boys, too.
Liz, Cameron Webber (William Lipton), Jake Webber (Hudson West) and Aiden Webber (Jason David) will all have to mourn this tough loss, so there are going to be some major family challenges.
Elizabeth doesn’t know how she’s supposed to go on without Franco by her side, but she’ll have to find the strength for the sake of her children.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and perhaps a few others will also be hit hard by Franco’s demise.
Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) will offer support to Elizabeth as she prepares for Franco’s funeral and tries to figure out what her life looks like without her husband in it.
It’s that funeral we want to focus on for a moment since it’s sure to be a somber event.
General Hospital spoilers say Cameron has some cemetery scenes coming up during the week of March 15-19, so it seems Franco will get a speedy funeral and burial. There’s no point in dragging this out since it would only make the suffering of Liz’s family worse.
Of course, there’ll be plenty of Port Charles residents who aren’t all that sorry Franco is gone! Franco’s past certainly put him on the bad side of certain PC citizens, so there’ll be some who say “goodbye, good riddance” in private.
Nevertheless, Franco had turned his life around and built a sweet fam with Elizabeth, so it does tug at the heartstrings to know Liz and her boys will lose him.
On the bright side, General Hospital spoilers state that Roger Howarth will return after a hiatus and isn’t done at GH. CDL confirms that Howarth will be back in some capacity, though no one knows for sure whether he’ll return as Franco or a new character.
Either way, there’s always hope for Howarth to work with some familiar faces as well as some fresh ones upon his return.
In the meantime, Franco will remain dead in this story and his funeral will bring some tears for those he mattered most to. We’ll provide updates as other GH news becomes available.
